MoT Data for East London 6 May 2014 (News)
The top two models are luxury cars – Bentley and Porsche – although few were tested. That said, most car makers have higher pass rates when tested in E postcodes than they do on average elsewhere in the UK. Failures related to lighting and signalling account for almost a quarter of all MoT failures, so makes sure you check your bulbs. -
MoT Data for Edinburgh 6 May 2014 (News)
Edinburgh (EH) scores a below average MoT pass rate. Most of the causes for an MoT failure are more likely to affect cars tested in EH postcodes, with just seatbelts scoring an above average pass rate. It’s the same with most registration years and car manufacturers. Bentley models are the most likely to pass their MoT in Edinburgh, with failure rate of just 9.7%, 27% better than the average for Bentley models elsewhere. -

The car manufacturers with the lowest rates of failure are Porsche, Lexus and Triumph, though relatively few Triumphs were tested. -

The trouble is that currently, many of the cars targeted in this list aren't of the cherished variety, which explains the much higher theft rate of these cars, compared with easier to stael older classic cars. -

Why these classic cars are redefining what's cool 27 Jul 2015 (News)
Car nuts in their 30s and 40s are finally buying the cars they always wanted when they were in their teens, and there’s no accounting for taste. It’s why I, for example, have an inexplicable fascination with the Rover 800… The second reason, though, is much more encouraging. -

When it finally arrived, it was only available with the 147bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. But despite a cracking powerplant, the Piazza didn’t get off to a great start as the first importer, Isuzu GB, went out of business a year later. -
