  Can anybody advise me on how to change the automatic gearbox oil on my 1993 5 speed BMW 320i which does not have a dipstick. How do I know when the box is full? Haynes manual says leave it to a BMW garage, but that goes against my principles. Help please, Best Wishes for the new year.GGH

  Thinking of buying one.... but would like opinions on usefullness of the semi auto option and overall drive as an automatic. Never been a fan of auto's but now I'm getting on a bit and stuck in city traffic 50% of the time I think it may be time to cross over. Thanks in advance Steve

  My 1992 Mercedes 230E automatic has a problem with the bulb failure indicator lamp on the dashboard. When side or headlights are used, it always comes on even though all the exterior bulbs are fine and working. It happened once before, and was caused by using a 10 watt not the correct 5 watt rear bulb.

  ...so many new car owners remove their wheel trims from the car straight after buying it? It automatically ages the car by five years in IMHO. Are they scared they will fly off and cause damage to other cars or pedestrians? I cant think of any other reason (short of them being nicked!) Im a loser baby....so why don't you kill me?!

  If I unlock the car (from the outside), the car automatically locks itself after a 1-2 minute delay whilst I am outside the car. Is this a fault, or is it what I call a useful security feature? My fiancee told me this happened, and I wouldn't believe it, until I saw it for myself!

  Looking for a sub £2K small automatic for a relative. We're close to bangernomics at this price I know. On my "to view" list ATM is a 04 Honda Civic with around 80K miles. Good MOT history, but I'm told that running an old Honda can be problematic because of the price of parts compared to something like a Focus.

  The advert had a picture of an engine and above it, said: "Choice of 5 installs - 355bhp manual - 700bhp automatic".  Curious, I went on the website where the listed engine conversions ran to a supercharged 6.2 (GM) V8 with 600 (not 700) bhp. Still, 600bhp in a Defender? engineering-performance

  The dealers main listing and Autotrader ad said Manual, the pics show a gear stick and clutch pedal but doing a check on the car it states Automatic. Same when I get insurance details. So, a bit confused!  In the technical  spec it says  gears:7, transmission:semi auto

  Am  not normally slow off the mark but for the life of me I cant get the fuel filler open on a Cooper S on a 57 Plate I thought it could automatically be opened whilst doors were unlocked ??  Is there are a manual switch inside instead ?? I'm a female so be gentle lol

  Hi I have recently purchased a 2005 automatic Hyundai getz 1.4. It may be me but when I apply the accelerator when reversing  (I don't always need gas) the pedal appears very sensitive. The slightest tap and it goes. Do you think there may be something wrong or is it me having to get used to the car?

    However, I was surprised when a friend referred to her sports model car as being comfortable.  I have always thought of sports automatically being uncomfortable.  Does a sports suspension mean a harder ride ?  Is this yet another misconception of mine ?  Enlightenment appreciated.

  Hello guys, i am looking for a used automatic car around £6000. I am thinking to buy a fiat 500 dualogic but i head there are a lot of problems with the dualogic gearbox. I really like the car though and i think it looks 10 times better than my other options: Fiesta, Corsa.

  Hiya, Just recently bought this and was driving it down the motorway.  However, realised that it was doing 4000 RPM at 70MPH. It's a 1.6SE Automatic. Could anyone advise whether this is normal? Thanks a lot. Awaiting your reply in anticipation.

  However, the Nip letter says I am being prosecuted for "the alleged offence of EXCESS SPEED-40MPH  AUTOMATIC CAMERA , travelling at 37mph.."..........etc.   I don't know what to make of that. From what I can see it is stating I was doing 37 in a 40. I can't just ignore it. so what do I do.

  Hi, I have a 2003 2.0 Mondeo 130bhp TDCi (automatic). The fuel pump is dying and the mechanic reckons a new one, to fit, will cost nearly about £1200!! Will a reconditioned one work, or will that still be coded to another vehicle? What is a reasonable price for getting this job done?
