speeding fine for not speeding? - fuzzhound

Just had a fine for speeding. However, the Nip letter says I am being prosecuted for "the alleged offence of EXCESS SPEED-40MPH AUTOMATIC CAMERA , travelling at 37mph.."..........etc.

I don't know what to make of that. From what I can see it is stating I was doing 37 in a 40.

I can't just ignore it. so what do I do.

Check that they haven't just dropped the road where the offence was committed from a 40 to a 30.

If they haven't then write back pointing out no offence and claim £10 donation to Help for Heroes for your time in correcting their mistake.

If it says you were doing 37, then there's no way that you can be forced to pay the fine. The documentation is out of order, and is actually evidence, or even proof, that you were not speeding.

I wouldn't be so certain Sofa.

The paperwork would contain a NOIP andf served within 14 days. They can look at the file and spot a mistake and re-issue the Conditional Offer. If not accepted and Not Guilty Plea they can give evidence of the offence without the mistake at Court. May be mitigation in the error..........dvd
