• Citroen - 05 2.0 Strange noise, goes when clutch is pressed 1 Jul 2009 (Forum)
  Dear all, A few days ago I bought a used Citroen C5 2.0, petrol, 55 reg., 05-08 model, with 26,000 miles, 5 speed manual. I am worried about a noise, and I would appreciate some advice. The noise changes with engine rev and gear. It happens in all gears.

  Disconnecting the brake-fluid level sensor has no effect - in fact, the brake warning light doesn't come on to indicate a fault doing that. I do appreciate that it's (a) a Citroen and (b) it's got wet, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen this problem before? Thanks very much for any input - it's my sister's car! Dave.

  there is also something that appears to have broken off and is hanging down in between what i assume is the cooling system pipes attatched to a rubber hose or wire sheathing. there was one other hose that was not attatched up near the top of the hoses that i pushed back on easily but had no clip to hold it in place. Someone has said that this assembly (hard plastic type box with the citroen logo on the left of it) has blown the pipe offcausing the problems??? he did say a strange this part is the (word begining with P and five sylables but i cannot remember it at all)!! and i am obviously concerned and now car less!!

  Hi all, Greetings from China! I'm here visiting a friend who has a Citroen Fukang - this is what was, in an earlier life, the ZX. It looks exactly like we remember the ZX, save for a couple of Chinese badges on the boot. Under the bonnet lurks a 16 valve 1.6 litre petrol engine.

  After overtaking a line of trucks I pulled in and settled back to 85 and let him past. Up he steamed and it emerged that he was a Dutch registered Citroen C6 towing a substantial caravan. I tailed along behind him for a while and he was cruising at 95mph, occasionally edging over the ton. I settled back to my 85mph cruise and let him get on with it.

  I'll try and keep this post 'simple' as I haven't had any luck in the past getting an answer?? I can be more detailed if required. Citroen Dispatch Hdi (94bhp with intercooler), 128,000miles. It feels very down on power compared to 1.9TD models, after adding injector cleaner, or on a long run (often towing) it can get better (will hold 70mph uphill rather than slowing to 55 when towing 1300kg trailer/car combo).

  Hi, I have just bought a cheap, low mileage, good condition (apart from a dent in the rear qurter panel) Citroen ZX for my brother from another family member. The problem is, while driving from Chesterfield to Hertfordshire (about 140miles) I noticed that the temp gauge seemed to move up and down with speed.

• Citroen C5 - Compensation for faulty car 13 Jun 2011 (Forum)
  [endif]--> On 18.10.2010 I bought a Citroen C5, 2.0 HDi 138 EU4 Diesel VTR 5 door estate manual 6Spd from the main local Citroen dealership. After checking my paperwork and details of DVLA records I realised that the car sold to me was not that of the above description but a C5 VTR HDi 1560 which has a 1.6 litre engine with only a five speed gear box and not a 2,0 litre engine with a six speed gear box!

  I even got as far as a test drive in a new Galaxy but I didn't feel at home in it; the driving position didn't suit me, I would have preferred rear sliding doors and the part-ex offer on the Synergie was so poor it was almost an insult. I was expecting it; the same garage hadn't wanted my Citroen XM 7 years ago and a salesman had tried to studiously ignore me and Mrs H when we were looking for a car for her in 2002. And so, due diligence thankfully done, I was able to give my dosh and cars to the local Citroen dealer and come away with my 18th Citroen (not all from them) and what a pleasant, painless experience it has all been, so far.

  Just in case anyone is seduced by those Citroen ads on TV, in which substantial cashbacks are mentioned, the car is virtually unobtainable. Strange marketing, isn't it, that pushes a car at vast expense then is unable to supply!

• Citroen C3 (2002 - 2009) - 02 1.4HDi 16v engine cutting out at random 7 Jun 2018 (Forum)
  A quick pull over to the side of the road to turn ignition on and off and all is well again. No ECU lights are lit on the dash and Citroen say they cannot find any codes stored. They (randomly it seems) changed the throttle pot assy on the pedal but this has made no difference. I'm now at my wits end with the thing - Citroen obviously have no idea what's wrong and it's so intermittent anyway they can never actually witness the problem when they test drive it.
