Non leather interior. Built in SatNav but no SD card, heated front and wear windscreen. Car sold with MOT until end of April 13. Also, under extended warranty with WarrantyDirect  until June 13 or 74k miles whichever is sooner. Fully transferable to new owner.
  • seat leon 2015 1.6 - Seat Leon 2015 help with problems.... Please 24 Dec 2018 (Forum)
Websites that sell them dont give very good info, and dont respond to emails[/b] Possibly insulation problems causing damp? what should I look for?? There is whistling sound on the passenger front door after 50mph, like the window insulation has a gap. Heating works better on the passenger side than the driver side. on full heat it is only slightly warm, with a little cold coming through, whereas on the left it feels how it should, fully hot.
  • Citroen Xantia questions 13 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Ever since I've had it (8 months now), however, it's always been a bit of a dog to start. I usually give it 3-4 heats to get it going nicely, if I give it one or two it'll turn for about 10 seconds before starting over. Is this likely to be glow plugs even though they were replaced? c) My rear brakes squeek. The fronts used to as well, but some copper grease cured that.
  • Impressions of new Focus C-max 19 Feb 2004 (Forum)
On the positive side of the visibility front the passenger wiper has a sort of trapezoidal mechanism which allows it to sweep very effectively into the upper corner of the windscreen. Furthermore visibility rearwards is ace for a mini MPV with full headrest complement.
  • Nissan Leaf - Leafing my wallet alone! 18 Apr 2025 (Forum)
The interior is well made and rattle free and it’s spacious and practical with a surprisingly large boot. The heating controls are simple and not buried under menu’s in a touchscreen. It’s quite easy to live with. I’m not a fan of the styling, but I quite like the interior. It’s a bit dark and the high dash and small windscreen make it feel a little claustrophobic but it’s well built and the heated front seats are comfortable.
  • Which new car to buy? 2 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Budget ideally £15-£17k but might stretch to £19k depending on what I get for my car. Must have - reasonably high seating position, 5 doors, good all-round visibility Would like - fun to drive, heated front windscreen. I have very long legs (for a female, but probably also for anyone) and big feet and prefer an upright seating position ideally with knees higher than hips.
  • Mazda Mazda 6 (2008 -) - Mazda 6 2.0D Sport 5dr Hatch 2 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Apart from the heated front windscreen (and I could have done with that this morning) the spec is as good if not better in the 6
  • Audi A3 + S3 (2003 - 2008) - A3 3.2 Quattro 11 Apr 2008 (Forum)
No auto dimming rear view mirror - again my 1998 Scorpio had that, so did my VW Bora. 4. No heated windscreen (Scorpio and Galaxy again) 5. No Heated seats - Ford Galaxy and Scorpio both both those in 1998/1999 6. No electric memory seats (Ford Scorpio, Peugeot 406). Now, heres the thing, I haven;t looked in detail at any Audi, BMW, or Merc before, but the dealer says that these premium German brands are usually badly equipped, however this is not the lead in 1.6 I am looking at, but the flagship 3.2 Quattro.
  • Estate car recommendations 17 Mar 2022 (Forum)
It would be nice to have something with a similar trim level to the Focus (Titanium) and Fiesta (2014 Titanium X) that we have - cruise control, DAB, heated seats, quick melt windscreen, keyless entry, push button start etc.  Any good options that meet all these requirements? It would be nice to stick with Ford since my partner has really only ever driven them so would be familiar to her, but not essential.

I like all sorts of cars-even quirky Citroens. A heated front windscreen'd be good. So not an exacting list of requirements then! I already know a lot about various cars, but it's the details you can't easily get from a spec sheet that I value the back roomer's help for-things like how good is the clutch, are the brakes decent, steering wheel mounted controls for stereo etc.
  • Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - ) - My day out at Millbrook Proving Ground 2 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Chose a Mondeo petrol for giggles as we'd never driven one before. Very small mirrors, the annoying heated windscreen but a lot more driveable than the Insignia petrol. So, a good day, topped off by some offroading in an Antara SUV - very capable vehicle! Would I buy an Insignia - yes, nice car, but it'd have to be an estate.
  • Toyota Prius plug in 2017 - Very quick review 7 Feb 2018 (Forum)
Disappointed no heated windscreen like the Leaf, so it was out with the scraper.  Then demist the car which meant engine running. First thing was how far I felt from the windscreen.  The A pillars are very large and possibly intrusive and no way of seeing the front of the bonnet.
  • 2500km in a Citroen Xantia 17 Feb 2002 (Forum)
t likely to be an issue in the UK. I have no idea how the heating is, I?ve never used it. Strangely it seems to get the back of the car much colder than it does the front. I loved the automatic windscreen wipers. Changing speed, interval and even on and off, depending on the wetness of the windscreen ?
  • Top 10 diesels on the market 11 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Fun features include a slick five-speed manual box, eighteen-inch wheels and a rakish windscreen designed to mimic a sportscar. Starting a family has never been so enticing? Cons: Well, you?ll have to wait until late next year, though they?ll take a deposit? Tiscali verdict: 7/10 -------------------------- 6.
  • Volkswagen Golf V (2004 - 2008) - 105TDi - the first 30/90 (months/k miles) 21 Mar 2008 (Forum)
According to the ADAC tyre test for my 195/60x15s, the only tyre appreciably quieter than the rest was the Pirelli ? but it was also appreciably the least economical?. The car is on longlife servicing (it?s a lease car). First service came up as due at 18600 miles, which happens to be 30k km. I had used just the litre of longlife liquid gold that had come with the car ? and it wasn?

The other two face level vents blow at whatever temperature climate is set at, but you could, for example, have climate set to blow warm air into the footwell and at the windscreen, but have cold air blowing on your face. I can't remember any of our previous cars having this ability and will certainly come in handy once the cold weather returns. The two rear seats slide back and fore independantly, this can be done from the rear seats via levers on the front of the base or from the boot via levers on the top of the seat backs.
  • BMW 5-Series E61 Touring (2004 - ) - 25,000km report BMW 530d 9 Jun 2009 (Forum)
The overall effect with the various metal knobs is more late baroque than 21st century sports saloon. When I picked up the car 5 months ago I noticed a few things had changed since the previous one left the Munich factory. When you unlock the car, the rear LED lights and front day running lights as well as LEDs under the door mirrors illuminate slowly and elegantly.
  • My Road Test - Volvo XC70 D5 Summum Auto 19 Jul 2006 (Forum)
OK, those anchors - they should be a bit better, plus rear leccy windows should have an 'auto' function (self-closing & self-opening at one touch of a button), but for some reason Volvo says it's for your own kids safety. Yeah, right... Oh, and the nice looking beige dash - its image reflects in the windscreen from time to time (that will be rectified in MY '07 with the upper fragment always remaining in black colour). What else... hmm.... ? The turning circle is bigger than in an ordinary V70, thanks to that intelligent 4x4 system, but generally, it's a really very, very nice car - highly recommended.
  • Cuba Fly Drive 29 May 2008 (Forum)
If you wanted to risk your life further you could try a Coco taxi ? a motorbike engine 3 wheeler with the driver out front wearing a crash helmet and the unbelted passengers in a pod at the back. The car we picked up on Day 4 was a Seat Altea XL 1.6 litre poverty spec but with heavenly air con. I noticed plastic blanking plates in place of the side indicator repeaters and then found that no cars in Cuba had repeaters.
