  Citroen Berlingo van - 2007 Fuel/glow plug problem - hot running becomes a non-starter and RAC advised a faulty fuel pressure switch/sensor? All the research I’ve done points to a ‘multi-function relay’ issue? Would these be the same thing? Is this easily replaced by a DIY’er?

  I am looking to buy a Mondeo 2.0 tdci, as per your recommendations, however I am confused as to which variant to buy as the engine comes with different outputs ie 140 bhp, or 160 hp. I am wanting a titanium variant . Can you recommend which option to go for considering running costs, road tax etc.

  Now the evenings are darker, are we any safer from the curse of speed cameras on the gantries over the motorways? I haven't seen them flashing so much on my daily run around the north western part of the M25. And on the other roads, I've not seen any camera vans aiming to catch evening commuters. Any thought?

  My Pug 207 diesel (1.6 HDi) is approaching its 8th birthday, and as advised in the maker's handbook, it still runs with the original engine coolant, which is still clear blue in the reservoir - though it is now just about at the MIN mark when cold. Would this also happen in a light-alloy block?  I'm a bit surprised that there has been no discolouration in a steel one.

  V05 1600 diesel eco, intercooler, turbo Car stalling when cold.  Runs fine later in the day. Also has lost power, and taken a few minutes to regain power. Have put on computer, no faults found. Have found oil in pipe work of intake air shutoff throttle, is this normal?

  I h ave an astra 1.6 auto x reg (2000) the radiator fan will run constantly even with key out. Is there a radiator fan switch on this model or is the fan controlled by a temp sensor via the cpu.If it's a sensor then which one and where is it located ?? Any body help please

  Observations of running different budget 4x4s,having had numerous cars .the best car I've had for practicality and reliability is the completely under the radar renault koleos....I understand its nissan x trail underneath with all the renault kit they generously give you....and built by samsung in Korea?

  Sorry this is very vague.  The engine does not seem to run as smoothly as before ( 60,000 on clock ) Would any problem show up on dashboard information screen ? or could it not be being picked up before something happens ? Having written this I realise there is nothing objective possibly query is : how comprehensive is warning system of faults ?

  I bought the car two years ago and it's runing very good and passed the MOT. I had it converted to run on LPG,changed front and rear disks , pads.  What do you recomend to maintain it with my experience garage.  The main dealers are very expensive and what to take care about. Thank you

  I'm thinking about buying a 2006-2007 and diesel estate car that has run about 90,000 miles. The Honda Accord 2,2 ctdi and Ford Mondeo 1,8/2,0 tdci (mk2 or possibly mk3) seems to fit my needs and budget the best. Which one is likely to be the most reliable and economical?

  The power steering fluid levels are fine, so the question is what else could it be? It sounds expensive, the warranty runs out in a month so I may have to get it to the Fiat dealer ASAP!

  hi i have a 2001 vectra 2.0 dti it has a very weird problem it is fine when cold starts perfect drives perfect and as soon as it gets warm it starts cutting out and warning light comes on and when properly warm it wont run at all .plugged it in to a diagnostic machine and it came up with critical system malfunction and help would be great thanks

  Is it me, or have the designers been allowed to run riot?  Headlights set in the bonnet like searchlights, windows like pill boxes, tyres like the rubber trees are endangered and wheels like combine harvesters. Most of the new launches make me hanker after an old 240.

  hi my vectra c 2.0 has a broken glowplug has anyone any ideas how to get this out have been told this is head off job and also it is still using a lot of diesel i have changed vacuum pipes and serviced it but still the same , put £10 in and only done 43 miles on run and it was gone 
• mk1 xr2 crossflow - score in cylinder of crossflow engine 29 Aug 2011 (Forum)
  I got a crossflow from an xr2 to put in my mk1 fiesta but after taking the head off to inspect it i found a score in the first cylinder, it's about 2 inches down and runs down below the piston, it's probably about 0.3mm deep, will this affect the engine much? will it need reboring?

  just getting valuations to calculate the running costs of my car since i have had her for 1 year now, and checked a few including webuy... valuations from web and a couple of local dealers, they were low, but not the lowest, (offered between £4000 and £5900 but seeing the retail prices of cars, some of the dealers must be hoping to make 100% profit.

  I propose to have the timing belt changed on my 04 Xzara Picasso 2.0 HDi at 75,000 miles.  Should I have the running pulleys and the water pump changed at the same time and should I use a main agent (for protection against subsequent failure) or an independant (for economy)?

  Is this pulley a fabricated item? Is this a known issue? Belt system is noisy when engine starts first run of day.
