  On one of my usual trips to Israel and rented a new Mazda 6 this time rather than the usual Mazda 5 or anything MPV-ish I normally get. Very nice car, just shows how the good mainstream makers have moved on in the last decade. I have two gripes. 1. For a LHD car, the handbrake is too far to the right of the centre console between the seats. 2.

  I've just noticed that the top few rails on my new (old) 2014 don't work. on inspection , it looks like one of the wiring blocks connecting to the screen...
• mazda diesels-have they solved the problems? 10 May 2017 (Forum)
  Currently looking at diesels for towing. The CX5 has come onto the radar. However on this forum the very mention of Mazda diesels has brought scorn upon the product. Obviously a wise manufacturer would work hard to eliminate problems from their products. Have Mazda done this with their diesels? They do make a range of diesels too, so did they all present problems or just some types?

  When i start engine from cold it rattles untill warm, mazda say it is normal but i don't hear it from any other mazda s also in cold weather the inside windows are covered in condensationsometimes even ice, no damp inside car again this is said to be normal.

  Guys - My 2002 Mazda 323TD has just failed the N Ireland MOT because the smoke readings exceeded the limits by a wide margin (avg 8.7m-1). My local franchised Mazda dealer prepared the car for me (£600, including new timing belt!)

  Yet doesn't the Mazda brand generally have better reliability results than Ford? Tongue in cheek, surely Ford aren't deliberately engineering unreliability in to keep their dealers going?

  which tyres would you recommend for my mazda sport 2.2d.   would they run better on 16in steel wheel rather than the 18in alloys low profile which are fitted.   thanks

  1996 mazda. Rear head is showing water on plugs on 2 cylinders, also water from exhaust. Anybody know if this is an engine out job? Any other tips/info on tackling this would be appreciated.

  I would appreciate anyone's advice on whether a one owner,'H'reg Mazda MX-5 would be a good bet - bearing in mind it's mileage of 175000 miles, good bodywork and a price tag of £1000!

  I could do with help and opinions on the following: I was coming home on Christmas Eve in my Mazda 6 2009 which was purchased in July at a Mazda dealer with 1 year warranty. The Oil light flickered on and off about 10 minutes into my journey so I began to get concerned. Around 2 minutes later it came full on do I began to look for somewhere to pull over.

  Our Mazda 6 tourer 14 plate has 78k miles and thinking might it be time to get rid. We've had a couple of low pressure warnings where the oil level has risen and the oil thinned by diesel dilution. Conscious there may be bigger problems to come.

  We have only experienced this once in the last 10 years but it does happen!   What do people with a Mazda 6 do? I have never been a member of the AA / RAC etc so is this something that I should consider? Would they tow you to a garage that could fix / replace the tyre? It is a bit of an oversight by Mazda not having at least a space for a spare tyre as this is something that is actually putting us off buying  Mazda 6.

  I'm looking for a family car - 2l petrol for £4000 or less with plenty of legroom as I'm 6ft 6l. I've narrowed it down to either the Mazda 6 or Ford Mondeo, 2008 onwards. I would rather buy from a dealer for added piece of mind. My questions are, 1) I prefer the Mazda 6 looks over the Mondeo but there seems to be a lot more Mondeos available, which car is generally more reliable?

  Preference is the Mazda 6 but after hearing all the bad stuff on this forum it has put me off, or is it related to older diesel engines and not the 09/10 plates? Alternatively an economical petrol car would be option but again stumped which give good MPG figures and reliability.
