  I had my Audi A6 serviced at a main dealership. At the same time they did a gearbox oil change for me. They returned the car to me and said all the work had been done OK. That evening as I went to drive the car for the first time, the gear selection indicator was flashing solid.

  A few days ago my car (Audi A3 1.8T 2003) started to be really sluggish under acceleration at slow speeds, idled roughly etc. I suspected spark plug fouling or something up with the air filter, but when i took the cover off the engine i found a burst air?

  Had  a problem with my old Audi overheating.  The temp just keeps rising and the water bubbles back into coolant header tank, not seeming to go into the radiator.  I don't seem to be getting water or oil in the others hood!

  I have an Audi A6  2.0 Tdi Avant - 2007 (57) 7 speed Multitronic gearbox. On most days either cold or full working temperature the engine revs will stay high when approaching junctions. Eventually they die down to normal on stopping.

  Hi, Do you have any experience driving any of this (primary in B7/B8 Audi A4)? I know that the new 3.0TDI is probably better (acceleration, fuel consumption, torgue) but it's considerably more expensive than 3.2FSI. Putting fuel consumption on the side as I don't drive much (5-10k a year) how would you compare these 2 engines?

  Hola, I have just had an experiance with a 1998 Audi A3 petrol. I am a mechanic, but am baffeled as to what Ive missed. I was stripping out the dash to replace the heater matrix. Half way through the strip out I needed to start the car, but the imobalizer light just flashed and it wouldn't start.

  Been offered a set of Quattro alloys from a 1998 A4...just trying to be sure the wheels will be interchangeable. Genuine Audi Alloys Wheel.... 205/55 R15 currently on the car and on the other set offered.... both 5 stud.. just scratching my head over the offset..... sure the answer is yes just looking for a little more comfort..

  Hi all, My 1997 Audi A3 1.6 developed a problem yesterday while driving on the motorway in heavy rain (don't know if that's relevant). Basically, in all gears from 1000 to 2500/3000 revs it judders while accelerating, after which it runs smoothly despite an obvious lack of power - I can get to 80mph in 4th gear but 5th gear does practically nothing, whereas before 4th gear would be at quite high revs and 5th would accelerate the car still.

  Dear All Anyone had an Audi that would not start when the engine is mildly warm ? My A8 always starts from cold and from hot, but sometimes will not re start if it's only been running for a few miles and it's really trying my patience.

  Also wondered how practical it is in terms of boot space etc. Not a very sexy question I know but have a young family now and really want to stay with Audi if I can as my current A3 is brilliant (can't afford an A4 Avant unfortunately).

  Hi, I have a Audi A4 1996, about a month ago my electronic immobiliser symbol came on now & then while mobile! And when I try to start it in the morning it cuts out but on the third attempt it starts. I have now noticed if I wait for the symbol to stop flashing it will start.

  My brother in law has a 1999 metallic green Audi A4 and he has said in the past he has bought Tcut metallic green polish to get some football scratches out of his bonnet surely if he has done this he will have rubbed away the clear lacquer layer that is sprayed on top of the metallic paint.

  Hi,Ive been looking at ebay for a nice motor for the weekend,(use the van during the week)that's not too dear but flashy enough,very keen on the Audi A4 1.8t,around 96/97/98. just wondering if they are any good,not to worried about mpg as I will not be doing much,but was wondering are they a good enough handling car and are the engines reliable enough,i believe they are about 150bhp,so would they be good enough for a fast run,not looking to pass out everyone but would like a bit of poke,,,any help appreciated,regards all james s

  How long do HT leads last? I had a bit of hesitant starting 5,000 miles ago [1998 Audi A6 2.8, now 98,000] but all is OK now, so thought it might have been a tankful of dodgy fuel. I bought it at 77,000 with FSH so I am fairly certain they are original. Is there not an argument for routine replacement as early sign of failure [un-noticed misfiring, especially on engines with more than 4 cylinders] could damge the cat with unburnt fuel?

  Hello all, I would appreciate your expert opinions on buying an high mileage diesel A3. I have an opportunity to buy an Audi A3 TDI 100bhp SE 2003/03 with FSH but am concerned about the high mileage of 112,000 miles. Although this will be taken into account in the price, I am worried that I could be looking at expensive repairs or overhauls.

  Hi Hope someone can help I have a problem with water leaks in my 1998 Audi A6 saloon. The problem lies with water gaining entry into the back passenger footwell. Ive taken the pollen filter out, battery etc to check all drain holes are unblocked. Last night I put a hose on the windscreen and the water started coming through the air inlet (through the pollen filter) the pollen filter was soaked.

  Hi guyz am new to this just wanted some information, basically ive recently got a new gearbox put in my audi a3 1.6, and ever since its using alot more petrol, its doin like 45-50 miles to £10. Before the change of the gearbox it was easily doing 70 miles to £10. i have paid 700 for the new gearbox, and just wanted to know what the problem could be????

  The engine was new 3 years ago and uses no oil at all. The cat doesn't tinkle like I've heard on some Audis, but I'd say the exhaust has got a little noisier recently. A cat is approx £90 from GSF. Would Backroomers replace the cat as a matter of course, or is there there any other likely cause? BTW I forgot to do the italien tuneup before dropping the car at the MOT station.

  Hello, Car:- Audi A4 Avant 1.9tdi 130SE. In December, I noticed that the glowplug light on the dash was flashing. It only flashed for about a minute then the light went out. It has not flashed since, just illuminated when I am about to start the car, like it should.
