  • Hyundai i30 (2007 - ) - Pad/Disc Contact 24 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Discs rust after standing for a while. I notice that, when setting off in my Hyundai i30 after a day or two without use, and before braking, there is a rubbing noise. This intensifies on braking but then, after an application or two, disappears. This leads me to believe that the pads are in constant light contact with the discs. Is this normal?

  • Neat Touches of the Future 19 Aug 2005 (Forum)
Following on from Neat Touches of the past and present, what touches do you dream of for the future... To start off, I would like to see some sort of front mounted brake lamp (not sure on colour) so that you (as the driver in front) can see that the car behind has 1. noticed you 2. has applied the brakes as appropriate.
