  . ‘RS 911' have done a fantastic job, the engine sounds superb, and this 911 can now be returned to the road in its former glory,’ said Will Smith, sales manager at Silverstone Auctions. Complete with original tools, radio, windscreen transfers, wallet, service manuals and ownership paraphernalia, the car’s history file includes six service stamps in the original service book. There is also a large number of bills and photographs documenting the complete restoration process, as well as letters between the current owner and the supplying dealer in 1975.

  The engine and gearbox also received some TLC. All the police features were restored and work: radio (which cannot be used for legal reasons so is not wired up), stop signs, sirens and blue lights were restored and work. The Grampian Police livery has also been reinstated and the interior trim was in good condition so was given a good clean and refitted.

And there will also be a 1.4iVTEC, with a “smaller diesel engine” arriving towards the end of 2012.
