  Hi, .******* Do you think I have a case to reject the car under the sales of good act? I appreciate the car is a few years old (a 52 plate) but the car was valued at £6,700. Also, under the SOGA if I part ex my old car for two new ones and I rejected one of them can I claim a refund on that one or would it be a case of returning both of them and getting my partex back with the cash?

  Hope the admin won't mind me not putting a car in the title ! This is a general (although technical) question which could apply to any car .... Have a 3.5 year old old shape Corolla, now at 125K, and have just spent £1K on a gearbox rebuild ..... so I'm going to amortise my investment and run the thing for a while longer !

  Wife changed her car this morning and as she likes to support our local shops she uses a good old fashioned insurance broker that works from a good old fashioned shop with glass at the front,im sure some older members on this site will remember these type emporiums before the coming of shopping malls closed outdoor markets and fast food burger shops,anyway i drift...... ive just checked on the motor insurance bureau online facilitation and her new car is not shown as insured,this may mean that until the emporium opens 10.00am sharp monday morning she stands getting pulled by the fuzzies Her old car that i sold also this morning is as i speak insured by a local blue rinse lady via the internet .

  I do apologise if this has already been asked, but I would like advice on where to buy, 2 to 3 year old cars or value cars. Obviously I am going to ask the question, where do the used cars dealers get theirs from. I have been into two used car dealers recently and was told by one tell us what you want and we will get the vehicle on line (we only use four dedicated web sites- quote) it will take approximately three weeks What i would like to know is what are these web sites, or is it a big secret I have read through a lot of the threads recently and have seen site like trade-sales.co.uk drive the deal and autobytel but they all seem to be selling new cars.

  I am considering trading in my one year old automatic car for a cheaper manual car about 2 years old. The price difference is probably going to be between £1000 and £1500. Will a main dealer permit a transaction like this? It would mean giving me the manual car plus giving me money back.

  Took our Accord for a service today at our nearest(French) Honda dealer and got issued an old  1.4 Jazz as a courtesy car (I really wanted a Civic Type R but they aren't that stupid!) 2005 registered ( you get the french V5 with the car as it's the law over here). 188,000 km on the clock so that's about 116,000 miles.

  I have a 5yr old japanese hatchback that I want to sell/trade-in when I get my new car. The car (1.3 Mitsubishi Colt) is in good condition but has done 50,000 miles. I don't think I'll get a good deal on a trade-in so I'd rather get shot of the old car myself.

  My partner sold his car on Sept 29th; he bought brand new and part exed his old vehicle. He sent off the Vc5 to the DVLA when he picked up his new car the next day. He lives about fifty miles away from the dealership he used.
