Vauxhall corsa 1.2 twinport 2008 z12 xep - Poor performance 11 Apr 2021 (Forum)
Tick over is a bit rough. Could the ECU have restricted the engine when overheated? I have replaced the battery for a new one so sat overnight disconnected. Any further ideas welcome.thank you. Mike -
Vauxhall Movano. 2005 - Indicacators/ central locking inop. 28 Jan 2021 (Forum)
The only thing unusual that happened while they had it, was that it ran out of diesel, and they had to bleed it of course. They didnt say whether the battery was flattened or not, during this. The fuses for hazards and c/l are ok, but I cant find one for the indicators. Is it included in another fuse , or located in a different place? If there is a relay where is it located. -
VW Golf not starting 18 Oct 2020 (Forum)

ford galaxy 2.8 v6 - Alternator 13 Oct 2020 (Forum)

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV - recession approaching and Mitsubishi leaving 20 Aug 2020 (Forum)
(The notion that car prices are going to rise seems beyond absurd to me) And Mitsubishi are pulling out of the UK and EU markets as far as I know I'll be looking for a cheapish 4x4 soon, I wonder if a Mitsi might be one to look out for, maybe an outlander PHEV - how long can you expect those big batteries to last? Or a grand cherokee got to be a 4x4, our roads are horrific -
2011 BMW X1 1.8d - Stop/Start failed 19 Aug 2020 (Forum)
are there any bright people on here that have seen this before? Have had a new coded battery on dealers advice, fully charged by driving and AGM charger but still not fixed. dash fault code is CC ID 397 andd the "A" with an arrowed circle warning..forums suggest brake servo vacuum sensor, gearbox neutral indicator calibration or I think the most likely the gearbox electrical connector as the dealer reluctantly changed the sump a while back due to threading the bung and it leaked oil everywhere (now fixed at dealers expense). -
Focus 6000CD radio, a different problem. 6 Sep 2019 (Forum)
My 6000CD radio stopped working after I fitted a new battery, I entered the code but it still would not work. On checking I found that the VID is not in there, the hand book explains how to enter the 16 character VIN number. Problem is that my VIN has 17 characters, I have tried removing 1 from both ends leaving 16 but that does not work. -
Dashcam suitable to switch between cars 6 Aug 2019 (Forum)
I need a good resolution for detail like number plates when playing clips back; quick to release and fix to windscreens when changing between vehicles; if possible, a reasonable battery life so I don't need a charge lead hanging off it all the time. Need one to do the job so not necessarily the cheapest. Any recommendations please? -
Volvo v70 - Volvo v70 radio code 24 May 2018 (Forum)
Hello, I have just recieved my car back from garage after having some work done. They have obviously dis-connected the battery at some point as the radio is now asking for the code. The car has all books and service history however the radio code is nowhere to be found. I have the vin number and the serial number off the radio, but the local (not helpful) dealer says he cannot get the code. -
Hyundai Getz 1.3 cdx 03 - Getz rev counter not working 28 Oct 2017 (Forum)
My dad's Getz suddenly decided to have the Rev counter needle not moving including the fuel gauge which is stuck on the lowest point (it is a quarter full) I drove the car to see if the speedometer was working at it isn't. The electronic trip display isn't showing anything either. The battery is fine as all the lights are working. Car starts and runs fine just this issue. Read elsewhere might need to replace the instrument panel? Any pointers on how I can properly diagnose it & what the solution might be, thanks. -
Chrysler pt cruiser 2003 - A few questions please - Chrysler pt cruiser 2003 18 Apr 2016 (Forum)
I'm currently looking at a used Chrysler pt cruiser 2003. It's been standing unused for a few weeks since the seller got a new car. I'm told since the battery was flat and has been recharged the rear wiper won't stop. Any ideas how to fix this fault if I did buy the vehicle? Is this a common fault? I'm also told in order to start the car the foot pedal needs to be pushed right down on the gas. -
Porsche Boxster 2008 - Service due warning 1 Apr 2016 (Forum)
The car was in storage since last October and was run occaisionly. Unfortunately when I went to start it this morning the battery was very low and needed a jump start to get the engine running. The car is great except that every time I put the ignition on it warns me that it needs a service now. Does anyone know how I can reset this please? -

Skoda Octavia - skoda octavia cooling fan running all the time 29 Jun 2015 (Forum)
Thought i would post this up as i came across it at work today, had a 2009 octavia with the cooling fan coming on when engine turned off and ran until it flattened the battery, after lots of head scratching, it turned out to be water in the engine fuse box, stripped the fuse box and found all the contacts green. from the outside it looked fine but upon splitting it, it was toast. -
Ford Focus - Garage investigation charge 8 Dec 2014 (Forum)
I have found a Ford Technical Bulletin and I am 99% sure it covers my fault.(Stereo not turning on after battery replacement). I am booked in to the main Ford dealership but they have advised I will need to pay a £65 charge. They have advised this charge will be refunded if replaced under warranty. -

Honda Accord - Honda Accord i-CDTI start problem 10 Feb 2014 (Forum)
The turning over slows down once you get to about 10 seconds or so. Not knowing anything at all about cars, does this sound like a faulty battery? THe car has 80000 miles and is an 07 model.. Thanks. -
Ford Fiesta 2005 Zetec Climate - Fiesta 2005 Radio Code + Light Switch Problem 2 Apr 2013 (Forum)
Afternoon all, I'd be extremely grateful if someone could point me in the right direction for a radio code. The serial number is M118106. A bit of backstory, the battery drained completely as there may be a problem with my light switch (AA recommendation). Has anyone else experienced an issue with the headlights stuck "on"? I have removed the fuses for the headlights to try and see if this stops the drain. -
Jaguar X-Type 3.0 SE - Key Transmitters failure 2 Feb 2013 (Forum)
Now both transmitters will not activate the security system and I have had to resort to using the keys which do work OK. Batteries have been recently replaced on both. Apart from throwing myself at the mercy of a Jaguar dealer, is there anything simple that can be tried to get it up and running again? -
Aftermarket petrol treatment? 11 Jan 2013 (Forum)
It drives really well, but starting is not quite as instant as it once was. I intend to consider the battery as well, but I wonder if it could do with some form of cleaning out of the fuel system and cylinder heads given its use for mainly short cold journeys. As a retired person his longest regular trip is delivering 'meals on wheels' for the old folk - he is 78!
