Jaguar X-Type 3.0 SE - Key Transmitters failure - Coalbox

One of the key transmitters has occasionally not worked but the other has been 100% until now. The use of the reliable transmitter has then always enabled the other one to work OK for some time until it failed again. Now both transmitters will not activate the security system and I have had to resort to using the keys which do work OK. Batteries have been recently replaced on both.

Apart from throwing myself at the mercy of a Jaguar dealer, is there anything simple that can be tried to get it up and running again?

You may have to re-associates the keys to the car. I do not know how to do this on a Jag but there is a Jag forum that may help you. Regards Peter

You could programme in a couple of Mondeo keys .Probably a cheaper option.hth
