Proposed new-style Grand Prix 1 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Heard an interview today about a suggested new-style GP, to relieve the tedium of the current MS/Ferrari-dominated version. Sponsored by Saudi(?) finance, all the cars will be identical, just the drivers will be different. This seems to me to beg an endless list of questions. Any opinions? Oz (as was) -
Do dealers still give cash discounts? 1 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Hi, Just wondering, because the last few dealers I've spoken to havn't knocked the price down at all when offered cash. Is it just my wonderful bargining skills, or do dealers just prefer to get people on finance packages these days? -
Skoda vRS 8 May 2003 (Forum)
Seems a great deal from Skoda at the moment for Skoda Octavia vRS on 0% finance. Anybody bought one on this offer and if so, did you get a good deal? Also, which insurers were the most competitive? As an aside, can anyone tell me the difference between ASR and ESP, from a VW perspective? -
Peugeot Partner - HELP !...I've bought a vehicle that was on finance 8 Aug 2016 (Forum)
At the time I bought it I did do a basic hpi check to ensure it had'nt been stolen, written off...etc but crucially I did'nt do the outstanding finance check as I was buying from a large company that had been around since 1985. Obviously at this time my heart sank and was in shock. I rang strata but the telephone number had been disconnected. -

Toyota Yaris and Yaris HSD - New Toyota Yaris 24 Jan 2012 (Forum)
At that time Toyota had a promotional offer of a free Toyota "Touch and Go" system on all new Yaris ordered between 1st July and 30th Nov 2011....as a move to promote the new Yaris as well as Toyota's new Touch and Go system. Toyota was also offering a 6.9% APR PCP finance (with 2 free services) through AccessToyota at that time..the offer of a free Touch and Go system was NOT linked to the finance offer and anyone (irrespective of whether you take the finance or not) was being offered a free Touch and Go System My car has now arrived (after 2 months) and at this time Toyota Financial services is offering a choice to new customers to either take the 6.9% APR offer (with 2 free services) or 0% APR offer (no free services) as I believe a lot of customers are taking the 6.9% offer and cancelling it within 2-3 months ( as soon as the free servicing vouchers arrive) My dealer is forcing me to pay 500 pounds for the "Touch and Go" system if I choose to take the 0% APR offer. -

Nissan Qashqai - Sensible alternatives to Petrol Qashqai? 21 Jun 2016 (Forum)
It is time for us to get a younger replacement for our 1.7 petrol Honda FR-V (which we are keeping on as a second car). I am expecting to finance using PCP and would prefer an arrangement where the total cost over three years is under £10k. Due to a relatively low annual mileage (no more than 10k) and multiple short trips (typical journey in the week 5-10 miles) it needs to be another petrol. -

How to sell a car on credit 3 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I would be replacing it with a car costing £2K or less so a trade in at a dealer is unlikely as there aren't many dealers round here that deal in old and new metal from the same forecourt. So that leaves a private sale, what are the pitfalls of trying to sell my car with finance outstanding? Would the buyer have to settle the finance with Ford and pay the difference to me? Obviously the credit would show on an HPi check. Any general advice about how I would go about this would be appreciated. -

Ford Europe Update 16 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Cmax and grand Cmax - no more factory orders, Very little UK stock available. He is hoping Ford will offer a good finance offer on the Tourneo Connect and Tourneo Grand Connect to compensate for the loss of the models as they still get a lot of family buyers wanting a spacious car. Galaxy and S-Max - says they still sell a few but mainly to fleet and private buyers , rare to sell one on finance. -
Honda - All Japanese final three what car 17 Mar 2009 (Forum)
The disadvantages is that effectively locks away £12k and we'll be looking to move house towards the end of the year. As you can imagine between the cars and the finance I have 101 things going through my head and I'm trying to juggle so many factors, hence the plea for an objective opinion. So if you have any thoughts on the choice of car or the method of financing then please let me know Thanks Douglas -
Skoda Octavia Scout Estate - Lease-Breach of Contract 29 Jul 2015 (Forum)
Three months ago, took delivery of a Skoda Octavia Scout through a leasing company, however payment is to Skoda Finance. As yet, they have not taken the initial deposit or subsequent monthly payments, despite calls and emails to them, notifying them of the issue. Are they in breach of contract??
