standing still 17 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I've been watching a BMW 528 for nearly a year now on a local forecourt, it's that lovely light green, S reg and in good nick but no-one's buying. It started at 6295 and is now down to 4995 but the important thing is it never moves. -
Bird Droppings 13 Aug 2005 (Forum)
I would guess the laquered surface is damaged. Anyone got any ideas how I can restore the surface? - its orient blue metallic on a new BMW 5 Series if that makes any difference. -
Cracked Windscreen and Insurance 8 Jun 2005 (Forum)
My question is, will Autoglass replace like-for-like, or will they just supply a windscreen minus the bells and whistles? Also, if I go back to BMW, whats the likely cost for the full monty? -
Nokia 6310i phone - Bluetooth conversion 6 Feb 2005 (Forum)
In my BMW 3-Series I have a 6310i phone in a cradle on a Plummer console, which works fine, but would like to convert to utilise Bluetooth (i.e. take the console out, which will also free up a little space in the passenger footwell). -
Wheelers Dealers - Sky 20 Dec 2004 (Forum)
I expect most have seen the series on Sky. Watching one, where they refurbish a BMW 325i Tourer, new bonnet, bumper trim, exhaust, filter kit and clutch slave etc. Anyone know where this 'SuperStore' is based and its address or Website. He always seems to get a good deal with the parts used in the programme. -
Premium rental 20 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Hi Folks, Just booked a Premium group rental car for a couple of weeks touring and was looking for opinions on which would be the most roomy for the 2 adults in the back. This is, of course, assuming I do get a choice when I get there. Options are BMW 525 TDi, Peugeot 607 2.2TDi or Jag X-type diesel. Not having driven any of them I think the Peugeot looks bigger but would welcome any comments/recommendations. Cheers. -
Hard Top Security Issues 21 Jul 2004 (Forum)
I remember reading some time ago that certain OEM hard tops are extremely vulnerable to theft, - I seem to recall the Mazda MX5 and also BMW 3 Series convertibles, when fitted with the optional hard tops, are quickly and easily removable by the pond life opportunists. My son is considering buying a Porsche Boxter and was wondering if anybody on the forum owns or runs one of these vehicles and knows if their hard tops are secure from theft or not?? -

2004 Mondeo 1.8 LX Bargain?? 1 Mar 2004 (Forum)
See that I can buy a 2004 Mondy for less than £10k. Having ditched the beemer (and yes no one lets you out of junctions except other BMW drivers) I'm very tempted by the Mondeo. How many mpg can I expect? Are these ex hire ? Would I be better with a Vectra (which I hear is really heavy on fuel in 1.8 guise)Are Mondeos good cars? Over to you -
What Car - Car of the year Awards 24 Jan 2004 (Forum)
What car have awarded the new Golf Mk V their car of the year, and I see BMW have won more awards (4 in total) than any other manufacturer. IMHO these awards are somewhat misleading, as they only assess the actual vehicles actually tested during the year. What do you reckon to their final selection ?? -

Quote from site "With 281 votes, the Fiat Panda beat the Mazda3 (241), Volkswagen Golf (241), Toyota Avensis (219), Opel/Vauxhall Meriva (213), BMW 5 Series (144) and the Nissan Micra (111)." Has anyone driven one and why is it so good ? -
Repairing a Write-Off 24 Sep 2003 (Forum)
Hi, Can anyone tell me what the procedure is for putting a written off car (Cat C) back on the road, and what it costs? I've got a chance to purchase a BMW 325 which has been professionally repaired, and just needs painting, but hasn't gone thru all the red tape yet (The repairer is about to be made bankrupt hence not completing the project). Are there any websites that can tell me what I need to do? -

New Rangerover-ugly bum 9 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Ther is something thats not right about the design of the rear of the new RR, same thing affects the nem MINI, could they be designed by the same guy at BMW?, discos CRVs Xtrails all look in proportion , but the RR is just wrong. The early RR mk2 had the look of a black cab but it seemed to get sorted later in life. Any idea whats amiss or am I the only one thats finds it awkward? -
Blind Prejudices 12 Dec 2002 (Forum)
I wonder if any other 'Roomers carry prejudices with them towards certain cars or drivers? This morning the sudden appearance of roadworks got me into a tight spot. As a BMW came by I thought there was no way he'd let me out, and I was looking towards a nice Micra driver when the Beemer flashed his lights to let me go. For me, I think the prejudice gets larger as the BM number increases. -
323 or 328? 7 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I'm looking to buy a BMW 3 series and have £8500 to spend. I've been looking at R reg 323i SE's or M reg 328i SE's both with about 60K miles. My question is - Is it better to get a newer 323 or an older 328 - Does the extra power make that much difference? -

Driven tonight 12 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Also surprised Penny said doing figure of eight manoeuvres around trucks is not repesentive of real world driving ... I see BMW drivers doing this every day on the M25.
