citroen relay van - expensive garage repairs now need new engine 14 Jun 2011 (Forum)
Around 10 months ago my van started blowing out black smoke and running flat out whilst on a journey. I managed to bring the van to a halt as was towed to our local citroen garage where i was informed the engine had run on its own oil due to oil overfill and that had blown the pistons. The garage charged me £2300 to repair the engine. The van has been fine for around 9 months but a few weeks ago the engine started knocking loudly,i had the van towed back to citroen as the repairs had a 12 month warranty. They informed me that the crank shaft had gone, that it was not covered under the warranty of the repairs they had done and that i would have to pay for a new engine. -

Citroen C3 - Engine replacement 8 Apr 2010 (Forum)
The block was the same but all the anicllaries were out. When I contacted the supplier he told me that all engines in Citroens have a Peugeot badge. My current one doesn't and so my question is it it true that Citroen engines have a Peugeot badge? It seems odd to me. I am trying to track down the vehicle it came from via the engine number but have not been able to do so yet. -

Citroen C4 (2004 - ) - 05 1.4 Oil leak from head 29 May 2009 (Forum)
Once this has been done they can consider a contribution towards the cost of repair. We have a reference number to give to the dealer for them to follow up with Citroen. The car is obviously out of warranty (6 months) but would it be considered by the panel here that this kind of failure is acceptable at this stage of the vehicle?s life? The car is now booked in for a peek next Wednesday. -
New Citroen C8 caught Fire 27 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Has anybody on this forum heard anything about cars catching fire by themselves (new ones)? My C8 (4 months old) did this 2 weeks ago, and Citroen are not coming clean with providing a replacement under warranty. In fact they are basically doing nothing.. Two witnesses saw it start, after it has been locked and stationary for over an hour. -
Citroen Berlingo window leak 4 Sep 2004 (Forum)
I have had a Citroen Berlingo Multispace from new for three and a half years and it is the most practical and cheapest car I have ever owned and one of the few I can comfortably sit in (at 6’6” tall) and one of the even fewer that will take my similarly sized and fast growing children in the back seats. -
Citroen C5 Headlamp covers 14 Jun 2004 (Forum)
These pads are produced by 3M. There just enough for the first fitting so I have no pads for this new C5. I have e-mailed Citroen to see if they could tell me where I could buy further pads (not sild separately by Citroen). They suggested Halfords who do not have any suitable pads. I have also e-mailed 3M on two occasions but no response. -
Citroen Xsara: Replacement Key 11 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Hi, I have a Citroen Xsara (1.9TD) and last week I managed to lose the key. As I had no space I ordered a replacement, which typically caused the old set to turn up 10 minutes later! I've decided to have the replacement anyway, as it's a PITA when you lose your keys. -
