  Little Rover not starting since wife drove it through a puddle. It did start & run for 1 day then stopped, refuses to start now. Is it Dizzy & plugs or something more sinister. Advice appreciated as wife is eyeing her 406 that I'm using. TIA

  I have a ''w'' Merc C class diesel and whenever I turn off the engine what seems like a fan of some description runs on. It seems to be located under the drivers side front wing and does not appear to be the cooling fan for the engine.

  HI, I can't get the 5th and reverse gears even when the car is not running. The other 4 gears seem to be working ok. The problem seemed to happen over night and was not a gradual wear and tear type problem.

  My daughters 1992 1.1 carburettor AX has become a reluctant starter and when running initial pickup is hesitant.We have the service history for this 56K miles car and this problem has occured several times. Any advice would be welcomed.

  Every year about this time the misiting inside my A6 becomes a serious problem to control. I have to run the demister and aircon on full blast every other minute to keep the windows clear. Does anyone know what causes this problem and how to fix it ? Thanks

  Are there any places online that will post car fluids such as coolant, PAS fluid, gearbox oil etc? I detest going to Halfords and always seem to run out of time to go to the Peugeot dealer...for the sake of a few quid P&P this would be much convenient.

  2001 Vectra. I have a slight weep from the low pressure pipe that runs across the radiator where the flexible pipe is crimped onto the solid pipe and have been quoted £250 to replace. Is there an alternative repair possible? Chris M

  just read the latest autocar magazine the biggest story has been about the next revolution in engine technology, apparently mercedes benz have been developing an engine that can run on dual fuel both petrol and diesel, combining the advantages of both of the fuels, si it feasible ??

  Been thinking about getting one of these and they seem to be graet little cars. Fast, cheap to run, well built etc. Only drawback I can see is the Skoda badge which doesn't bother me at all. Can anyone else suggest why I shouldn't buy one?

  Hello, Can anybody help me ? I have got a 1998 A4 1.9TDI SE, and the LCD display in the dashboard doesn't work. The car runs as with no faults. Could it be a grounding fault ? Please anyone help ! Awaiting someones reply.

  Difficulty in starting when cold, need to turn ignition key for 30 seconds for engine to catch, then splutters and pops before eventually running (30 seconds). Once warm starts fine. Plugs, distributor and leads replaced. Any clues?

  Coming back on the subject oil/oil additives,which paricular brand of oil do BR rate for diesel cars. Some people say Shell Helix tends to make to make there cars run quieter,whereas other barnds have opposite effect. What brands are good.

  My council run wardens have a tendency to drive around looking for illegally parked cars to slap a ticket on - I suppose that this means that they can "do" more cars. However they more often than not park on single and double yellows to issue their tickets.

  having just purchased a bmw 318i se w reg i am dissapointed by excessive road noise, more like a roar really, i have 195/65/15 dunlop sports fitted, is there a problem with this particular tyre or can someone suggust an alternative that is quiet running

  Just noticed that at some point a tyre has being wrongly changed. Means running with 3 165/70R13 and one 175/70R13. Which means one tyres 1cm wider and 0.7cm higher so 1.4cm total higher I guess. What do people reckon on the sensibility of this?
