S-Type Servicing

S-Type Servicing - Bennyhill
Can any S-type owners out there give me a 'realistic' idea of the cost of running one of these fine motor cars please? The one I am on the verge of purchasing is an 18 month old, 31000 mile specimen.

Any advice is most welcome (sarcastic or not!)

I have been running my July 1999 3 litre SE auto since Nov 2001. Fuel consumption has been averaging at 22 mpg and annual servicing at Watford Jaguar cost about £380 incl. My annual mileage is quite low at 4500.

I think if they are serviced properly they can be reasonably affordable. But it is important that the servicing is done properly and precisely, with every point in the service schedule completed. Otherwise, they go wrong and are costly to repair.
