  It is going back to the dealership I procured this from for them to look at as my local Vauxhall is not LPG authorised. Would be beneficial to me if I had some idea what they are going to be doing.

  I was on the Continent recently and over there many manifacturers sell bi-fuel cars, but not in the UK, it does seem. And does converting a new car to run on LPG invalidate its warranty? I'm new on this forum, so all advice on the matter would greately be appreciated.

  Hi everybody, I have recently bought a X5, which has LPG fitted, She runs really well. Got one thing that is niggling me though, I have heard that it is best to use an oil additive, as gas can cause premature valve wear. Can anyone advise me on this and if so, what oil additive should I use?

  I am trying to service an LPG vehicle with a Lovato installation. It is simply the case of changing the filter and setting it up correctly. My question is: where can the filter be located. I have include a link to the manual (refer to page 25 for the manual).

  I will be looking for a replacement vehicle in the next few months. I want to buy a dual fuel vehicle with a factory fitted LPG system. I want to attend a few auctions and see what availability and roughly what price they fetch, ideally the vehicle will be not more than 3 years old. I live in the Thames Valley , can anyone suggest which auctions to attend ?

  I was having a look at a couple of LPG conversion websites, and was wondering about the resale values against a diesel car. Say, for the sake of argument a 2.5l petrol car cost about £3000 at 4 years old because of the fuel consumption.

  I have an XJ6 which is beautiful, comfortable and not at all green. I want to get the car converted to LPG but I need to find someone in the Birmingahm area who has had a conversion which they are satisfied with and the name of a good garage for the conversion.  I keep hearing horror stories and do not want to end up in the mire.

  I have a V reg Civic AeroDeck (Estate) and am considering having it converted to run on LPG I would like to know if anyone has had their Civic converted to run on LPG. Are Honda engines OK for Conversion?? Any Horror Stories relating to Honda Engines and LPG. I changed from a 1.6RT Renault Scenic that had an old Gas conversion on it (Non Injection type)and had problems that were quite costly.

  I notice that if your car runs on LPG then you can get a reduction in the roadtax. However, just my luck, I bought my X reg car in Feb 01 and it seems that I can only get the reduction if I had got it from March 01. Is this indeed the case and am I just going to have to put up with paying the full price (all for the sake of buying one week too early!).

  I know how to fill 'em up OK, but the finer points of the Vauxhall Dual Fuel is the gap in the knowledge. There is a switch to swap between petrol & LPG - does the LPG kick in straight away, or is it after a delay? Also how does the fuel gauge work? Allegedly it reads both petrol & gas on the same dial but I cannot fathom how. Have had a fiddle with it, switching doesn't do anything to the gauge, and the switch itself starts flashing - what's occuring???

  I like the car but Labour are just taking too much money off me. I would like to reduce my running costs. Thinking of the LPG conversion which at £2000 is not cheap. I do approx 10k miles per year so the payback time is a bit long for me. I would appreciate a few useful comments from people who have done this.

  Economically it seems to make sense to have a conversion to lpg given the mileage I do. From an emissions POV it also makes sense and my tax bill will reduce. Trouble is, I cannot find any decent advice as to whether reliability will be adversely affected. Subaru did not offer a conversion on this engine (Turbo) and their conversion subcontractor was polite, but not helpful.
