Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 1997 1.9 Possible fuel pump problem??? 2 Sep 2008 (Forum)
After is starts then it's 1st time on the button every time after that. I've been told that the riser pump inside the fuel pump may be on it's way out meaning that the fuel is being sucked back and that they cost about £1500 for a new one? I changed the fuel filter today to see if it was something simple and i noticed a few (about 20) glitter-sized metallic fragments inside the filter housing. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - '00 2.0 HDi, High Fuel Consumption 21 May 2008 (Forum)
i took the car to a peugeot garage and they ran their diagnostics and found the following: "Investigate excessive fuel consumption. Checked to find no fuel leaks, checked ecu memory to find multiple faults in system which may contribute to excessive fuel use. parts and prices listed below air flow meter. £106.25 low pressure fuel pump. £220.83 accelerator pedal sensor. £93.94" I dont like the fact they used the word MAY above, and various sources have told me that these diagnostic checks are not always 100% accurate, so im a bit wary on forking out so much money if im not certain its going to fix the problem. 1. -
Fuel-line cutting epedemic! 21 Jun 2004 (Forum)

Not so long ago, I remember reading in the local newpaper and on the regional news, that a spate of cars had been sabotaged by their fuel lines being cut. The petrol that was drained off was being used so that they could inhale its vapours, in order to get a 'kick'. -
