  hi,i would like to find out,i left my lights on one night,and my battery ran down,i then pushed the car to get it started to charge the battery while i drive,anyways now my  esp light stays on and my altenator,is there anyway i can switch it of because i ran test on everything and its ok,just need to switch the lights of,how do i do that?

   The battery is always at least 3/4 charged so I would have thought under these circumstances if no other I should not be using petrol?

  I bought the tool for changing the cambelt for my 2005 saab tid 150bhp, used autodata outline, lined marks up on pulleys to belt, locked up cam, locked up crank. But it wont start, it almost offers then slows right up, had battery charged and jump leads onto the battery, had starter off and tested and put back on.

  Hi All, My battery recently went flat on my Peugeot 306. It is a relatively new battery so I took it out and charged it. I have put it back in but now when I try to start the car the engine won't turn over. I've tried disconnection and reconnecting the alarm system (under the rear seat behind the driver) but this made no difference.

  Recently I have had some issues at start up. (02 model 26k miles) I turn the key and I get a response as if the battery is flat. The clock etc then reset to zero. Turn the key a second time and the car starts as normal but this time the child lock buttons are illuminated and the esp fails to work. Have cheked the battery terminal and all is clean and tidy there.

  we have a 1.1 independance. Today, we had to jump the car as battery was flat. I have yet to check to see if voltage across the battery picks up when above idling, but the rev counter has also stopped working at same time. Can the faults be connected as i have heard the rev counter is run off alternater?

  my battery went dead so i bought a recon alternator i put it on it turned over with a bit of help i tested the battery and it was chargeing ok then it said alternator faulty over chargeing after about 5 mins the car died and a bad smell came from the alternator now it wont charge is there a relay on the car anywhere that u have to change as well as the alternator thanx for your help

  Hi, I got a Laguna 1.9 DCI estate on Y reg, it was stood for about 6 months and the battery went flat. I replaced the battery and the car does not start? It turns over fine but does not fire. I put in some more diesel but still no joy. Is there sort of glow plugs or spart plugs that can get damp in?

  Hi i have a Peugoet 309 1.9 diesel T reg. the battery in the key fob went dead and i accidenytly set off the alarm when i unlocked the car i have replaced the battery but the pip key no longer turns the alarm on and off or unlocks the doors how do i reset the pip key?

  The battery alone is probably worth the price, but a lot depends on the implementation - are the leads long/thick enough, does the compressor shift any air, etc? Has anyone here got one?

  I have a V reg Polo which wouldn't start this morning. At first I thought it was the battery as have had problems with it before and tried to jump start it but to no effect. Also I noticed the electric front windows, clock, mileometer and central locking are working so decided it can't be the battery.

  I am guessing that the immobiliser has kicked in after replacing the battery , but with out giving a dealership shed loads is there a simple way of getting round this ??? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated .

  At the end of a shift 0100 hours discovered that my remote key fob for VW Passat 51 reg stopped functioning! Can still get into the car using the actual key,so could get home! Suspect that the batteries have run out. Does anyone know a good site to obtain these batteries online? The other key fob wasnt working when I bought the car and I was told that it had to be reprogrammed??? Thanks for any suggestions on where to go for this.

  The mats inside the car feel dry so fingers crossed no damage to ECU's. I've had a good look with a torch - I haven't removed the battery but I can't see any evidence of drain holes in either corner are they under the battery ? Thanks in advance

  Just bought a pug 106 from the auction- got it home and can not find the keypad number or any instructions for the keypad. The car starts fine- the remote locking had a dead battery and i changed the battery- remote now works and car still starts without problem, but i will have a problem if something happens with the keypad and it comes back to life ?? Any advice on getting the keypad number ?

  I needed to have the tracking done, so wilst i was at the garage i asked about the airbag, the guy told me to take the battery off for a an hour, and that should reset the airbag. I unhooked the battery for about a day. Its still flashing. Any ideas? Thanks Emlyn
