  If your radio is not ISO then you need to get a separate lead - Halfords will charge £20 for this but available for about half that on the net. The system itself works great, sound comes through the car speakers, caller can hear you clearly and you can use the control for voice-tag dialling if required.

  Is this a big job, the unit is a double din touchscreen, with NAV, and reverse cam, but the standard radio sucks, no DAB, and the maps are slow and outdated, CARPLAY would be much better.   I can pull the old unit out, just fine, many connectors to the rear, i can't see the 'upload pics' option, i took several!

  I have to admit that I like the controls on my MG ZS. heating control and fan are two rotary dials. screen or cabin/defrost options are also buttons. Radio is a solid on off volume control rotary button and station selection via touchscreen or up down  next to that and also duplicated on the steering wheel. What concerns me about the touchscreen stuff is that the warranty, depending on maker is 24 or 36 months.

  Hi, Hoping somebody can help? My car (Ford Focus Zetec 1999) was broken into and my radio was ripped out and in the process my hazard warning light got damaged, it just stays on constantly inside the car but my indicators are not working at all. I have changed the fuse and tried New bulbs but I still can't get them to work.

  Hey guys, i have a citroen xsara picasso 2.0hdi 2004 and while on my way to work everything died apart from my radio and hazards and things like that,  i found out that the fuse box under the steering wheel, the igntion fuse doesnt have a live, i can put a power to the igntion switch and the igntion will come on and the car will start but once i remove the power it dies again, what could this be just the igntion switch or?

  Hi Everyone , I having trouble with my stero system ! When I switch on the stero be it radio or CD , it plays fine for a minute and then there is static , its actually worse with CD . Has anyone come across this problem any ideas on what it can be . I am hoping in the next weeks to change stero for one with a Bluetooth .

  We are swapping out the OEM Blaupunk Cassette Radio and replaing it with a more modern music streaming, Bluetooth device.  Cannot get power to the machine directly and have had to take power off the fusebox somewhere.  But reading various threads on other fora it seems more complicated than that.

  Ford Main dealer just fitted Ford "AutoDab" DAB radio upgrade - first installation by dealer, p/n A66SX18D833BA, in reality widely available unit from www.autodab.com   - all good except ..... factory integrated voice command / control button no longer works , new functionality just switches AUTODAB on .
• VW Golf Mk6 - Dashboard lighting going off when pulling away? 7 Mar 2015 (Forum)
  Having an odd problem with my '09 Golf 1.4 TSI (122) recently - occasionally when I pull away from traffic lights (I think mainly when the engine is cold), the dashboard lighting and the radio will die for about a second then come back on. Looks like something's making the voltage drop momentarily (shorting out somewhere?), but not sure what. Headlights don't seem to be affected and no fault codes logged that I could find.

  please can you help my wife has just purchased a ford galaxy and as a little gift i got a ford cd player for her car,model 6000cd eon,i then paid for a code off ebay which was 8329. When the code is entered the radio comes on for a split second goes off then the display shows 'X56UOT'. Is this player locked to a vehicle with this registration if so how is it unlocked please can you help. The cd player serial number is M008635.

  I bought the car 6 weeks ago and noticed this problem straight away, although it is irritating I live with it, last week the car did its usual thing of speedo, odometer and radio losing power and engine cutting out when slowing down, when the engine kicked back in, there was a loud rumbling noise coming from the engine and also fuel consumption has doubled, i'm getting around 100 miles for £30.

  A relative who works in the BBC buildings (not for the BBC) often admires a stunning new Ferrari 599 GTO parked in isolation near the goods despatch area. It belongs to a well known tv and radio presenter, who owns several classic Ferraris (you probably know who this is). It was only after about the fifth time of admiring the car that he realised it has no front-number plate, only the rear (personalised) one.

  The following failed simultaneously: Remote central locking, interior lights, radio. satnav screen,"lights on" warning bleeps - ALL FAIL. Also the trip meter readings revert to zero when engine switched off. I have removed and re-inserted the black box integration relay and PROBLEM REMAINS.

  I feel it's not in the interest of motor manufacturers! Imagine a Ford Ka or similar but no: PAS. Anti lock brakes. Elec windows Radio Central locking Rear seats Reduce ir bags carpets and rear ad rear side windows made out of plastic. This would cut the cost of the car, make it lighter, thus more mpg, less ivsurance, poss less road tax, less to go wrong - so why do the major manfactueres do not do this as some pple just ant a reliable, trouble free, cheap car?

  I recently picked up a 55 reg Picasso and have noticed an odd buzz that sounds either electrical or like a small fan. It is coming from the small (10p coin sized) vent on the passenger side between the radio and glovebox. It's nearly always present but I have no idea what it is, or whether it could be something about to fail, but it's definitely not dodgy trim or rattle. It's the exclusive model with digital climate control and the ventilated glovebox - could it be anything to do with this?

  "Ah, yes, that will be the release fork sir, gearbox out, lubricate, 3 or 4 hours labour but no charge for the grease!" I said "in that case I'll just turn the radio up" and went straight to my trusty independent, who cured the squeak by peeling back the gaiter and carefully applying spray grease to the pivot, 2 minutes, no charge!

  Alternator fine, battery a bit low, so changed that. No difference. Lights still on and now the radio/CD is in 'safe' mode. I am loathe to go to the Vauxhall garage to sort this. Can anyone shed any light for me please? I am trying not to be a typical female driver lol ;-)

  On the BBC radio 4 yesterday the YOU and yours program was all about motor cars and some parts were quite intersesting until they interviewed a numpty who owned a service repair garage (with more eqipment in it than a NASA space station) who went onto say such things that you cannot renew brake pads without a computer and if you were to put the wrong oil in a car then you would totally trash the engine his main jist was that only he could repair or service cars and anybody who did any form of home service was a potetial murderer.Remind me to stay away from his garage.

  I was wondering if anyone had any idea where the wiring loom is located for this (as top spec model I assuming there is one there allready?) I know the radio is under the drivers seat. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank You.
