  • New car battery run down - Ford Focus 14 Apr 2007 (Forum)
,When I went to view the car( before I paid for it) the car the battery was flat but the dealer said they would re charge it for me I was away after that and did not use the car for ten days. Now after a week and ,I must confess, trying to set the sat nav up, with the engine not running the battery is flat again.. Should I ask for a new one under warranty or will a few long runs charge it more fully. The AA who got me going said the alternator was working correctly Thanks alan

  • New Car - Running It In? 12 Apr 2005 (Forum)
I've just bought a brand new Audi A4 - and am unsure if I should 'run it in' for the first few hundred miles? I've never had a brand new car before and wasn't given any guidance from the dealership when picking up the car (admittedly I was far too excited to be thinking about asking sensible questions).
  • Running on empty 17 Oct 2004 (Forum)
I know it is a silly and possibly hazardous thing to do but it seems to be a habit harking back to my younger years when cash was tight that I cannot get out of! Saying that I have only run out once many years ago, perhaps I need to run out in the middle of nowhere and suffer the subsequent hassle to give me the kick up the backside I need. Anyone else out there like this?
  • LPG runs faster ! Ford Transit. 2 litre 14 Apr 2004 (Forum)
It is fast, quiet and does 5 miles per litre @37.9p ish. It has however recently developed a wish to run faster on LPG than on petrol. It starts and runs fine but when it is on gas the revs dont drop back fully to tickover which means a bit more braking ! If I switch off the gas the revs drop to normal as soon as the petrol takes over.
