  I just watched HJ's video review of the new Nissan Micra at a show i Thailand. I did notice that almost all of the cars are going for chain cam now, Why ? From memory back nearly 15 - 20 years ago cars were chain cam then went to belt cam now that far east cars are going back to chain cam, why ?

  Hi there, Does anyone know what target price I should be getting quoted for a new Nissan Primstar/Vauxhall Vivaro/Renault Trafic 1.9 DCI SWB with a low roof??? I determined not to be robbed when I bargain with the dealer and it would be helpful if I knew what sort of target price I should be aiming for!!!!!!

  Next week I shall have the oil changed in our Leon Cupra (02 plate with the AUQ engine) by our local Nissan dealership. They inform me they do not have any synthetic oil, so I will have to provide my own. Fair enough- but what is the optimum viscosity classification for this engine, 5w-30 or 5w-40? Thanks.

  Hi everyone, Am looking to change the door speakers on my Nissan Almera. My budget is low, max 30-40 pounds. What should I look for in the speakers? Any particular brands or wattage to look for? Will be just plugging the new ones straight into the existing cables.

  Are there any companies out there that make replacement more generic items to replace parts that manufacturers aren't making any more? The reason I ask is that nissan don't seem to be making the air con pressure switches for my old skyline r32 and I wondered if I could get a more generic one from somewhere as they all do much the same job..... teabelly

  I saw a funny thing today. It was a "Nissan Micra. Bizarre little car, barely room for two adults and two small children if they all breathed in and had no luggage. It certainly struggled to accelerate when we got to an NSL sign. No idea why anyone would want one.

  Had a good drive today in a demo Nissan Primers 2.2 DCi (138 bhp). Excellent car and seems very economical. How much should I pay for a 2004 model with 3000 miles? Dealer kindly let me take it home for my wife to try and will bring it back tomorrow.

  My wife has an "L"reg bubble shape nissan micra 1.3L with a really annoying problem. The wipers have developed a habit of staying on..sometimes they will work on intermittent for a while, but then they just start running at a constant speed,(speed 1) and refuse to stop!

  The filler pipe on my new(!) F reg Nissan Sunny coupe is leaking, it\'s rusting away. None of the scrapyards have one so can I treat it with rust eater and bodge it by encapsulating it in fiberglass matting / steel mesh and fiberglass resin?

  is it just the fact their is so many, or are they no way near as reliable as a honda, toyota, mazda or nissan, because thats the type of reliability i need in a medium sized car that doesn't look dated. i still don't think a ford is as well built as a japenese car. c'mon they are the kings of electronics!

  Car is a R reg Nissan micra 1.0 35000 on the clock, ive had the car 6months now so its oil change time but the problem is which brand of oil do these engines prefer . Can anyone recommend a good brand oil to use for a car thats only used for very short trips (5-10miles) Also which oil would a main dealer use?

  I asked Nissan about the interval for chain renewal on my 96/N Maxima QX 3.0 V6 and they said it is not a service item. Is that true? I understand that even Mercedes S-class have service interval for chains and, from memory, the interval was 250k.

  Chatting to a GF driver today about most common and least common vehicles for breakdowns. Ford Focus and Nissans he sees the least. Number one for breakdowns won't come as a surprise to anyone here - L-R Discovery, followed by BMWs and Mercedes. Many electrical issues with the two Germans. Electric vehicles are a nightmare to recover, so breakdown in one of those.

  Had a parking ticket with photographic evidence of my number plate of my manitou loader. It was on a Nissan parked in Camden .i have sorted it with Camden council but they advise telling police and dvla or I might get more tickets. Phoned local police they said tell the met, phoned them they said tell dyfed Powys!!

  Hello. I have a Nissan Almera 1.5 SE 2005 and I need to remove the CD player. I have looked online a few times and can't find any information for my car. I have the large central display screen with the single disc CD player underneath the heating/volume control panel.

  I understand that these cars are not as fast as they look, but from start it is glacial. Today could not keep up with a nissan micra from lights.  Does it just need more running in, or has low millage meant a build up of something that needs flushing Advice appeciated

  Nissan Almera 1.5 Yreg. Engine management light on, and running rough. checked timing chain and it had stretched, replaced chain cam gears etc etc all comes in kit. started car, same problem! changed camshaft sensor same problem!!!!!!!!
