  • Tesla now in the UK. A snip? 30 Jun 2008 (Forum)
At £78K. Will it sell? Has anyone seen one yet? A Prius seems very strange to passers by when running on volts but a Tesla at speed must be a very disconcerting experience. :-)

  • Rover 25 (1999 - 2005) - 01 1.6 engine/garage problems 29 Jan 2010 (Forum)
On Tuesday 5th January the garage contacted me - I went in to see them, and I was sat down and told that there was a fundamental running problem with the car which they were unable to trace, and that they were not able to spend any more time or expense on the fault. They said that they couldn't charge me for the work done as the vehicle was not running correctly.
  • Mercedes Sprinter Van - Rental Van hit-and-run CCTV but no license plate 14 Aug 2020 (Forum)
And if they say the van is insured by a third party the burden of proof is to show that otherwise it must be assumed the van is insured with them and the driver has a rental agreement for costs (not an insurance policy) It seems a convenient fact that the rental company will potentially profit from a criminal hit-and-run whilst watching the innocent party (me) bear the costs of this act. I'm not a lawyer, but naturally feel aggrieved at the situation especially as my vehicle is brand new.
  • Time to update? 29 Aug 2019 (Forum)
As many of you know, I’ve been running a 2012 VW Polo 1.2 TDi Match as our second car for over 3yrs now and despite the occasional minor problem I’ve been very happy with it. I like the nimble handling but surprisingly supple ride and the 3cyl diesel motor is flexible and has character.
  • Peugeot 306 meridian estate - Peugeot 306 automatic estate what is the problem?? 10 Jun 2017 (Forum)
So, this time last year i bought a peugeot 306 automatic estate about 2 weeks later i discovered it had over heating issues found i had a leaking radiator ---- had new radiator fitted still  no better so was running the car heater fan to keep the engine cool - heater blew had new water pump fitted and new temp guage sensor .... gears started being jerky but temp was staying down unless in heavy traffic then it was going up and then it would be jerky and over rev even in park. - had auto transimission fluid changed list of issues :- sometimes - but not always- jerky when stopped with engine revving all by itself sometimes - but not always-  the speedo doesnt work sometimes - but not always-  the petrol guage is all over the place sometimes - but not always-  forgets to change gear until the rev counter is at 3500 sometimes  - but not always- doesnt change gear up a hill runs terribly when the weather is hot - runs slightly better on non supermarket petrol ( have also put petrol cleaner in it) also i have had it checked for head gasket and it isnt that and had a diagnostic on it and nothing comes up recently passed an MOT with flying colours except a headlight bulb !!
