  It usually starts up again if we get out of the car and rock it from side to side ????? Recently we had our car in the garage as it would not run, it had a service, new pipes, leads etc, they also disconnected our gas conversion as they thought this was the problem. But now one month on and £550 later we are in this situation as above??? Any advice would be greatly received, i'm a stay at home mum so not very mechanically minded lol.

  I appreciate that there are getting a few too many of these but I continue to have the utmost respect for Toyota as a Company and the fact that they refuse to hide these issues and risk the bad publicity to do what is correct for the customer. My understanding is that the fault leads to a potential noise in the steering mecahnism only and is not safety related yet they continue to publicise this. Any other company would probably just wait until the customer complained and then fixed it as teh customers raised it and not gone public at all.

  The battery ended up running flat with me trying to start the van several times. I have charged the battery by leaving it connected to my car with jump leads and tried jump starting and its still not starting. Any ideas on what is wrong? Thanks

  Search results for  hi i have a zafira 1,6 05 reg and i have a problem it comes up with p0130 which is 02 sensor fault i have replaced the sensor and thermostat and temp msensor and car is still the same once it heats up it will not rev up any higher than 1200 rpm if i take the lead off the temp sensor after it cools down the fan will come on continiously and the car will run like a dream .forgot to say when this fault happens the temp is over 95 degrees and no fan running at all any help

  According to AT&T drivers accurately followed instructions and made fewer turn errors.   hello    i have a rover tourer r reg i have changed crank sensor and coil ( they were off 1.4 if that is a problem please let me know ) new lead to coil and new rotory arm has been put on also  fuel is getting thru but we still have no spark   i was told it could be the ignition module where would i find it so i can replace b4 i scrap car many thanks any help will be gratefully recived

  The car seems to be stuck in 1st gear while driving and wont shift up. From searching online it seems to lead to the stepper motor? but still am unsure and have a few questions :) -Where is the stepper motor located ? is it by the throttle body. -Is there much labour involved in changing it ? -Where the cheapest place to buy one online ?

  I checked the obvious stuff, the plugs are genuine ford from the dealer and are 4 months old, I swapped coil pack and leads with a mates car to check and no difference.   There are no fault codes. Any ideas?

  Hi Folks My Fiesta sometimes has trouble starting and I'm going to replace my HT leads because I still have the originals (10yrs 95,000miles). It will need new plugs as well. The recommended plugs are NGK TR5A-10, but I noticed that NGK do a Platinum version part no. PTR5A-10, which only cost a few pounds more.

  The battery on my Honda Civic has been playing up and needs replacement. On searching on the internet there are different batteries available like Lead Acetate battery (45 Ah) from Halfords (£59.99) who fit it as well for a nominal fee of £4.99 or others avalable online like Alphaline for £47 with a power of 45 Ah or Varta Battery with 45 Ah power for £52 or Numax for £45 with 35 Ah I do not know which one to buy and how easy or difficult it is to fit a battery by yourself.

  The commonest problem I've seen with these is the crank sensor although this did seem a bit all of a sudden as there was now warning or other problems leading up to it. fuel pump primes and engine turns over fine. I read somewhere that you can get the fault codes on your dash but not sure any help would be appreciated. I have checked relay's fuses and ordinary stuff.

  Hi all I wonder if GM negotiations will lead to the safeguarding of all the jobs at Vauxhall or if tons will be lost still? The Business Secretary promises these people he will fight for their jobs, but will it be enough? I truly hope so because loosing a workforce of 5000 is downright horrid!!!

  I know it is due its timing belt done very soon but just wondering weather i should look at the plugs and leads first.Also when i start the car it someitmes cuts out unless i press the acelerator pedal to boost the revs as if i dont the car just dies. michael

  Hi folks, recently bought 2.0 mondeo, duratec engine It will hardly rev out past 4000rpm. changed plugs & ht leads but no improvement. Could it be a faulty sensor? runs sweet as a nut apart from this, couple of times the 'fault' has cleared itself and acceleration was brilliant but then it was back to pathetic.

  I there chaps i have a 1997 renault clio 1.2 model and its misfiring like chuff at low revs and especially when i floor it . i have changed the H/T leads, air filter, spark plugs and the problem still persists. do you think that dirty fuel injectors are the problem. {no need to repeat the car make/model in the subject header. The drop down menus take care of that for you.

  m after a ball park figure to get the following rust/paint repair carried out: Rust on all 4 wheel arches. 10p size rust patch on door frame above window 3 Bumper scuffs Rust along top edge of windscreen 10p rust on leading edge of bonnet. Car is metallic silver. From the looks of things the rust is surface rust, and has not eaten through the metal. I?m getting quotes later on this week, it would be nice to have a ball park.

It seems that the permitted maximum is due to rise to 7%, which may lead to more problems. (Some truck operators find that oil and filter changes are needed more often and some have had issues with sludge and algae in fuel since using biodiesel, though this is blamed on storage, as it is presumed OK as it leaves the refinery).

  Under load I can not rev the engine beyond about 4500rpm... I have recently changed the battery and spark plugs. The HT leads aren't too old, neither is the coil. I thought about adjusting the timing but the dizzy body seems to have fused itself to the block.... If anyone has any ideas what could be causing this I would really appreciate some insight!!!

  Went to start the car and I would have sworn the battery is flat. Put jump leads on and it was still the same. Now when the ignition is on there is a brrrrrrr sound coming out of a box mounted on top of the engine. (it has two magenta coloured relays? in there). Engine management lights have been on and off a lot recently but the car has been fine.

  i know I'm an idiot but I've just tried to jump start my corsa & the leads were on the wrong terminal once I'd swapped them back the engine management light was flashing & it will start rev once & die. I've seen on other questions on this site that its an immobiliser fault my key fob is a none battery type and i only have the 1one key. could you let me know what i should do next to get it going again.
