When I put the battery back, the car works but I noticed the fuel gauge all of a sudden is stuck on 0 and the Low Fuel light is flashing. I'm not sure whether this is a mechanical problem with the fuel tank or an electrical one with the signal not being transmitted.

  • High-octane fuels & power in non-turbo engines 3 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Especially interesting as the BM has a knock sensor and can adjust its ignition timing on the fly according to fuel quality. So on these engines (which are mapped for 95 octane fuel at the factory), there's no power gain from premium fuel.

  • Peugeot 307 (2001 - 2007) - 04 1.6Hdi fuel gauge/computer readings 2 Sep 2008 (Forum)
Comments on the performance of the fuel gauge and computer. Being an impoverished Meldrew I ran the fuel way lower than I ever have before as I had a 5p/litre off voucher to use! The gauge warning light came on with the needle well into the red and with 80 miles indicated as available range.
  • Cavalier SRI MK3 Fuel Problems 6 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Also when starting from warm when the car has been driven about then stopped, if u start the engine straight away it cuts out all the time until u keep revving it up when its about to stall. then it will eventually keep running. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel regulator, air flow meter, vacum, fuel filter, its even been away to a garage, which tuned the car up and still has the same problem, Be much appreciated if you could give me as much feed back as possible please. thank you
