  • Petrol stations with mini supermarkets attached 26 Jan 2017 (Forum)
I am getting irritated by petrol stations with mini supermarkets attached. Customers drive up to a pump-fill up-then go inside to "pay" . But no no--they then do a nice slow basket shop, fill up with a take away coffee then stroll back to their car as if they've go all the time in the world.
  • MINI One - Coolant Leak Issue 14 Jun 2014 (Forum)
I purchased a 57 plate 1.4 Mini One two weeks ago and yesterday, driving on the M5 the oil warning light came on and the car cut out immediately with a smell of burning from the engine.  When the AA turned up, the man indicated that the coolant level had gone below the coolant sensor which made the engine overheat with a possibility of engine damage.
  • rover mini oil pressure indicator 24 Mar 2007 (Forum)
Hi Just picked up a 2000 Rover Mini Cooper. The oil pressure indicator appears not to be working. When I turn the ignition, before I start the engine, the indicator needle moves up slightly, but does not move onto the gauge. When the engine starts it does not move at all.
  • Mini trepidation 17 Feb 2005 (Forum)
Should this be in technical? Hmmm. Anyhow, My mother is getting rid of her Mini, a proper one on a "C" plate, I think it's the 1 litre. She's offered it to me for £0 so I'm going to have it as a toy. Question is this: The car has been driven probably 2/3 miles a day to and from her work and not much further.
  • Mini Specifications?Reviews(not BMW) 15 Apr 2003 (Forum)
I've seached high and low on the Web for reviews and specifications for the old original Mini, but can only find limited information. I've tried all the usual sites, but most seem concerned only with the latest cars.Even the special club sites do not appear to have such information. Duing the last few years of production there seemed to be a multitude of special editions, but it is hard trying to find detailed information on them.

  • Austin (Rover) Mini (1972 - 2001) - 1991 1.3i Lights have gone out... 23 May 2008 (Forum)
Hi - hope someone can help. Have just bought a pre-owned 1991 Mini after 20 years without, and am rediscovering the joys of Mini electrics. Headlamps and instrument lights were working OK; I used the full beam switch, and (almost) all the lights died. Still working: brake lights, indicators (including via the hazard switch); reversing light, horn, ventilation fan, interior ceiling light.
  • mini cooper s 1 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Having been delighted with my previous Mini Cooper, I bought a Mini Cooper S in July 2003 from deleted . Unfortunately my particular vehicle had a fault when moving off from cold. Although the dealer rectified this by reprogramming the software, it resulted in a new fault, causing \"lumpy\" acceleration between 2500 and 3500 rpm; I believe this problem is well known to BMW, and has been described by American enthusiasts as the Yo-Yo effect.
  • Right Car, Wrong Car 10 Jan 2003 (Forum)
Anyhow. She seemed to love the MINI but went for the Peugeot - I'd have loved to see them try and haggle with a MINI dealer, I'd be interested just how cheap you can get one with a bit of haggling. Wonder if they told her not to go for the MINI as there was no chance of discounting.
