Jaguar E-Types to Race Again at Silverstone Classic 17 Mar 2012 (News)
.” Just five circuits will be hosting the Jaguar E-type Challenge in 2012 with races in France and Germany in addition to those in the UK. As last year, the Silverstone Classic with its licence to start up to 58 cars is likely to witness the biggest grid of the season. A Guinness World Record-breaking track parade of 767 racing and road going E-types was another of last year’s celebrations. -
BTCC Croft Just One Week Away 11 Jun 2011 (News)
The consistent James Nash is fourth in his Collins Contractors-backed Vauxhall Vectra that is run by the 888 Racing team which in the past has won BTCC titles with greats such as Plato, France’s Yvan Muller, Italy’s Fabrizio Giovanardi and Yorkshire’s very own James Thompson. Plato, always popular with the Croft crowds thanks to his Newcastle roots, is fifth in the table and sixth Andrew Jordan in his Pirtek Racing Vectra – the 22-year-old has won in many different categories at Croft and 12 months ago achieved his first ever victory in the BTCC there. -
New 1.6 and 2.0 Litre PSA/Ford Diesels 19 Feb 2003 (News)
The engines will be manufactured at PSA Peugeot Citroën’s Trémery plant in the Lorraine region of eastern France. 159 million was spent to adapt the plant’s existing production line to handle the new engines, while improving workstation ergonomics. -

Here are just some of the entries: The 1960 Facel Vega HK500 in the main picture was one of the most expensive cars of its day and certainly France's finest. 360HP and 576Nm torque gave iut a 0-60 of 8.4 and a top speed of 145mph, despite its considerable weight. This is one of only 105 HK500s built in Right Hand Drive and has a full history (described in the auction catalogue), including the fitting of a new 6.5 litre Chrysler engine in 1993. -

Fiat Group Automobiles increased revenue slightly – +0.5 per cent – on 2007 to 26.9 billion, based on an annual production of 2,152,500 cars to achieve a trading profit of 691 million. Sales rose in the key markets of France (+31 per cent), Germany (+14 per cent) and Brazil (+9 per cent). Fiat light commercial vehicles (Fiat Professional) sold a total of 408,700 vehicles, up 5.3 per cent. Maserati lifted its revenue in 2008 to a new record of 825 million, up 18.9 per cent, based on a 16.8 per cent rise in deliveries to 8,759 cars. -

He bought the car and subsequently campaigned it at Historic level in the Le Mans Classic on the legendary 24-hour race circuit in France, and in the USA in his very last competitive motor race. The Porsche RS-61 chassis ‘070’ which is going under the hammer was delivered new to first owner Bob Holbert of Pennsylvania early in 1961.
