Overall reliability

relaxing, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and economical.

bought this to replace a Seat leon ST FR I was having trouble climbing out of (arthritis). Decision between BMW X3 or the XC60, both similar in spec, with pluses and minuses on both, but the deal on the Volvo was just too good. £5k+ saving, 2 years free credit, and I didn't want permanent 4WD. Or runflats. Definitely didn't want runflats....
And I've been pleased. It's quiet and relaxing to drive (the way I drive, anyway). It's more economical than I expected - averaging 47mpg, with 50+ at 70-ish on motorways.
Satnav's OK (no worse than the VWG in the Seat), dashboard's easy to see, sound system (upgraded) is good, seats are as good as I'd read, it drives well, and it's a nice place to be. I accept that the dash is maybe behind the times, not being touchscreen, but that was a nightmare to use while actually driving anyway. Maybe the IDrive would be better, but you know what? I'm happy using the Volvo buttons, and it represented superb value for money. Maybe I should have gone for the XC90, or waited for the new XC60, but I wanted to change, the price was right, and I'm pleased with my purchase. Would thoroughly recommend it.
