Totally stunning, total fun.

I am just coming up to 15000 miles now with my C70 SE Lux premium. The car has not put a foot wrong. It is a stunner with the top up and even more so with the top down. Some people have even asked me if it really is a Volvo! I had one problem when the heater blower packed up, but the dealer (Lipscomb, Canterbury) arranged a courtesy car for my trip abroad, and had the faulty blower replaced and the car valeted on my return despite the 3 feet of snow on the ground. I opted for the 18 inch midir alloy wheels which really suit the car with the Barents pearl blue bodywork, and the handling with the roof both up and down is superb. There is some scuttle shake with the roof down but this doesn't spoil the driving experience for me. The car is returning a healthy combined figure of 40 mpg, which can increase to 45ish after a long motorway journey with the cruise control set at 70 mph. I also opted for the premium surround sound which gives excellent sound reproduction with the roof up or down. The MP3 connection is handy in the central armrest and the storage around the cabin is very good. I know certain people slate the Volvo sat nav, but I have no complaints in this area either. I love the way it raises from the middle of the dash, no problems with seeing it or reflection, is easy to use with either the remote control handset or the controls on the back of the steering wheel and gives clear concise instructions on the route. I could carry on but would add that before buying this car I did consider the Vauxhall Astra CC and the VW Eos. Both good cars, the Astra just didn't "cut the mustard" for me, and when I spec'd the Eos to the equivalent standard as the Volvo there was very little price difference. In short I made the right choice and love this tin top convertible.
