Refined, good looking and spacious

After much deliberation we decided on the R Line spec as it just looks so much better than more basic models.
The only concern was the 20” wheels. However, having run the car for over a month now, any concerns have gone. The car runs really well on these wheels and is far from harsh. Having owned several cars with 20” wheels in the past, I’d say the Tiguan is by far the most comfortable of them all.
We specced the leather seats as the drivers is electric and offers lots more adjustments than the none leather manual version. The 6 way adjustable lumbar support is fantastic, it’s so easy to get it exactly where it’s needed to offer great back support.
The technology in the car is equally great, with adaptive cruise, lane keeping and traffic sign recognition.
It’s reasonably economical for a 2.0 petrol dsg, giving 32mpg in daily use.
We are delighted with the car so far. It’s so spacious, comfy and has a fair amount of sporty road presence for an SUV. Well done VW, another great car!
