VW Sharan 2 litre diesel 4motion

Update..

Bought £400 VW bike carrier that clips on the rear door. It takes 3 adult bikes.

It works really well and after 2000 miles since I bought the vehicle, would strongly recommend the Car.

Update: MPG 35 around town 45-50 on motorways, which is about the same as my 1991 3 dr Renault Clio 1.9 litre diesel used to do.

Considering that is 4motion, excellent and very happy with it.

UPDATE

Used it in snow and ice. 4motion HALDEX is OK for a bit of loose snow or ice but is not as good as AWD cars such as Suzuki Swift 4x4 or the FIAT Panda 4x4. I find 4motion HALDEX is not worth as you still end up using snow chains.

Why HALDEX couldn't incorporate a button whereby the system could be locked at the touch of a button I do not understand.

Still very pleased with the car. It is very good. However I cannot honestly say I notice the 4motion makes any difference at all. Perhaps a slight increase in acceleration than otherwise on the mtorway when you floor the car.

You can go 600 miles or more on a single tank, with the aircon on full blast.

Anyone considering 4 wheel drive should consider getting a 'real' 4x4 like the Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Swift or FIAT Panda 4x4.

Anything like normal roads with snow tyres and chains on hand and you are sorted.
