Overall reliability

Frustrating drive but clever seats and infotainment.

Despite claiming to have a 134hp "Whisper" diesel, the engine is seriously unwilling, suffers from poor throttle response, poor turbo lag on hot days and is quite noisy. Seriously a 1.6TDCI or 1.6HDI in a Ford or Pug/Citroen is a better engine, and that had been around for nearly 10 years before this engine came out.

Air conditioning system is lame (even when correctly charged) struggling to keep the cabin cool at anything above 25 degrees outside.

Seats are clever and the infotainment/sat nav is quite good.

Common faults I had were squeaky stiff clutch pedal and the alarm kept going off due to a faulty bonnet switch - both of these issues were fixed by Toyota around 20 years ago.

Overall Vauxhall aimed for Average and just about achieved it.
