Not Waving...drowning

Never again. Subaru drivers often wave to each other. They are not waving but drowning.
Each issue required multiple visits to the dealer. First to say no fault. Second to say yes a fault but no parts in stock and third to rectify fault. Dealer was a 54 mile round trip.
The minor grievances. TPMS failure £370 under warranty. Fuel flap stuck closed despite amount of use - 2 visits. Hydraulic on boot failed. Rear seat boot release failed. Bluetooth hands free almost useless.Service every 10,000 miles and standard service (no extras such as pads etc) £450-500.

Main grievance - creaking noise. I thought suspension. Dealer diagnosed steering rack.Multiple visits and recordings of noise sent to warranty company. Turns out Subaru Proven warranty is actually run by a third party who were reluctant to pay out. I asked dealer if sure it was rack. Yes. New rack fitted. Noise remained. Another visit and this time diagnosed as a squeaky speaker. .. Back to dealer and a test drive with me to hear noise. Only had to turn wheel in dealer car park for me and technician to agree it sounds like suspension bush. Up on ramp... yes worn suspension bushes. Arghhh! Parts not in stock and don't know when will be but as it is now out of warranty £370 please.
Was set to pay this plus next service(£450) when on a couple of mornings clouds of dense smoke emitted on start up. Checked coolant level which was at empty despite being checked at previous £480 service so either was missed at service or using coolant. Given Subarus' history with head gaskets I decided it would take a braver man than me to carry on and bailed out.
You don't see many Subarus about and now I can guess why. Expensive mistake.
