A bit like the child at school "could and should do a lot better"

I have a couple of other reviews. I sold this car to avoid new company car tax changes. I brought this car 4 weeks old with a 1000 miles on the clock. It never broke down, all it needed were 4 tyres. (fair enough)

I sold this car at just over 2 years old with 29000 miles on. I am in my 40s and a normal motorist.

The battery when I got it originally actually did 25-32 weather/speed/load dependent, upon selling 17. This makes the car always use petrol.

MPG, ha ha ha....If you drive like a saint when the car is new it might not use any petrol at all. In the real world once the battery is flat...it does 30 on a motorway at 70mph. 27 at 80 odd. Maybe 40 round town.

The petrol tank is tiny, so when touring you get less than 300 miles petrol and battery range.

The auto box is hateful, once the battery is flat the engine revs loudly and frequently so its like joining a slip road on a motorway with the car red lining.

German Autobahns are a lesson in terror in one of these.

Seats are comfy.

SatNav started sending us round in circles.

Problems!

The charger that comes with this car has a design fault. They fail in normal use. I got one replaced under warranty after much debate. The second one failed and I repaired it. (I am suitable qualified and competant) It is built to fail and Mitsi have changed the design. That will not help the purchaser of a second hand car when it fails outside of warranty.

Rust.

Yep, the paint is very thin and damages easily. My front cross member had major rust on.The bonnet looked sandblasted.

The lies "quote and unquote"

"Its not structural" Um yes it is
"The warranty is only for perforation" Do you really want me to take you to court?
Mitsi UK to the Garage "Its not as if its visible"
Mitsi garage to me "Yours aint the only one some of our stock have the same" "The paint shop had to repair around the new cross member"

So...the long and short of it.

What a wonderful idea.
Round town and on the school run great
Its very comfy
Useless on a long drive
The motorway ride is unsettled
Mine and others have structural corrosion
Chargers have design faults.
Getting warranty work done is a challenge.
The rear seats are higher than the front seats so your over the shoulder visability is aweful...and kids get car sick being that high up.

Peterborough Mitsi were decent to me and supportive. This is the third car I purchased in a row from them. I now have a nice Audi.

Funnily enough the high powered petrol only auto Audi (my new car) uses a lot less fuel than the hybrid.

So, Mr Mitsubishi....your UK importers are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. I will never ever buy a car from you again. The UK consumer understands problems happen, a car under warranty is expected to be hasstle free.

Any one thinking of buying one...dont bother.

* The battery loosing capacity is already on HJ website
* Charger problems on line
* Corrosion on line too.

I am hugely disappointed....and the worst part about these is the "d" word....they loose money fast...

So please take my 2 earlier reviews with a pinch of salt. no one sells a car after 2 years if they are pleased with it!
