Colt Cleartec at 6 years old

A brief update on our little Colt. Now owned for 6 years and covered 40,000 miles of shopping/urban commute/kids taxi. It has been 100% reliable. There is not one rattle or squeak and we have spent absolutely nothing on it other than service costs and a set of front brake pads. The original Continentals managed 30,000 miles on the front with plenty of meat left on the back. Replaced the Contis with a full set of excellent Michelin Cross Climates - the ride quality, grip and noise levels are all much improved. Fuel economy is 45 mpg around town. The car has now been taken over by our daughter, we looked for something smaller but nothing else came close so it has stayed in the family! Insurance costs were little different to a 1 litre city car, and the Colt is infinitely superior to an Aygo/C1,Picanto/ i10,Corsa, Panda or Ka, albeit being the next size up. This bullet proof little car feels as good as new and seems quite capable of lasting 20 years or more.
