A proper old skool Merc: power, performance, practicality

Amazing vehicle, arguably the ultimate combination of performance and practicality. Enormous boot, only lacking collapsible back seat. Hugs the road like a limpet even in the tightest bends. Takes off like a rocket in Sport mode. Seems to use no fuel. So comfortable you're in danger of falling asleep. Gorgeous lines. Low emissions and ULEZ exempt on certain models, e.g. CDI BlueEfficiency, but be sure to check if you live anywhere near London. Also one of the first cars with all-LED headlights, much better for night driving.
