Surprising how good it is in every way

I bought my car after a conversation with my father about how pleased he is with his Tucson after 2.5 years of hassle free driving. It replaced a sorely disappointing 09 Seat Ibiza 1.4 SC. There is a lesson in buying a car purely on how good it looked. I owned it less than 5 months before taking the plunge and buying my i30. Well so far I'm absolutely delighted with it and I wish I had bought it 5 months ago. Its far more spacious, more comfortable and far more economical. On my first drive to work (about 25 miles) i averaged 65.5mpg and it hasn't dropped much since. Its also surprisingly well built, even the dash has a feeling of quality. The standard fit stereo is of decent quality and comes with a usb and iPhone socket in the cubby between the front seats. All other switches and buttons are well positioned and of an intuitive design. The 1.6 diesel engine is a little noisy when started from cold but if anything that just gives me the reassurance of reliability that i associate with diesel engines. Once warm its very quite and smooth. The engine has plenty of power and torque for day to day driving and motorway overtaking. The seats are a little firm but i do prefer the more upright seating position and visibility is excellent. I'm 6'1" and i have no issues with headroom. The ride is good as my car has 15" alloys and it soaks up the pot holes easily. The steering is a little on the heavy side but again I prefer that to the ridiculously light steering of my Ibiza. There are plenty of storage spaces in the front and the boot is of a good size. So far in the short time I have owned it I have had no reason to question its reliability either.
To sum up I am very happy with my purchase so far. I can see me holding on to it for a good while.
