Long distance transport

Delighted with my wee car which has faithfully transported me from the north of Skye to Hampshire and back on two occasions - effortlessly, comfortably, quietly and economically and covered many miles in between. It has just had its 20,000 mile service with nothing to report other than fairly worn front tyres and replacement wiper blades. My long term average fuel consumption is 57.5 mpg and the car performs perfectly adequately with more than enough power to keep up with the traffic if you're prepared to shift down a gear on steeper hills. This is a pleasure, given the lovely sound from the 3 cylinder engine. I find the interior pleasant but I use a wedge shaped seat cushion because I find the seat base is angled steeply backwards which doesn't suit my back. With the cushion I can happily undertake long journeys with no discomfort. The car feels very grown up for a 'city car', and surprisingly refined. I am about to have 4 winter tyres fitted to see me through the Highland winter.
