Overall reliability

Genuine 59 MPG over the last 9,000 miles.

We have had this EX version from new and have now done almost 9,000 miles.. I have been a bit of an anorak and kept detailed records of fuel.consumption. The exact figures are 8924 miles and 152 gallons of fuel . So almost 59 MPG.overall. (Trip B has never been reset and says 63MPG )But we have regularly seen high 70s indicated on long trips in the summer, the car is less economical in the winter ( heated heats, steering wheel need power) but the computer is a bit optimistic.

I don't drive slowly but don't generally exceed the national speed limit. I tend to drive B mode most of the time in order to charge the battery, but we live in flat East Anglia so we don't get much charge from downhills, its rare to get a full charge in the battery, fuel consumption seemed a lot better on a recent visit to hilly Devon & we often saw a full battery.

At a year old the computer said it needed a inspection service only , cost was £100. Although they didn’t do anything that I don't do myself apart from put it on a ramp for a proper look underneath. Bit of a rip off really but needed to keep the warrantee.

I don't use any of the cruise control or speed limit gadgets & do find the lane / road departure warnings very annoying.
The Sat nav is only O.K it seems to like single track roads even though it is set for fastest time.

But lots of other gadgets are very good. Including :-
The car locks / unlocks with a touch of the handle and the mirrors fold automatically ( previous Hondas you had to fold the mirrors before you got out of the car).
The reversing camera has a large clear screen & the car “looks”sideways and warns of approaching traffic or pedestrians- very helpful.
The music system streams instantly from my phone, so if i am listening to something in the house I don't need to do anything, there is a pause whilst I lock the house & as soon as I turn the car on the same track continues playing in the car - very clever.

Overall we have found this to be a practical, comfortable car ( most passengers mention how quiet and comfortable it is ) which is also very economical.
