Honda Civic 1.6se DTEC tourer

Spacious, reliable £0 Road Tax, good fuel economy (though not as good as Honda claim) but not without faults

I needed a large car to carry tools golf clubs etc as I did not have a second vehicle. Having read up on what my options were I decided on the Honda and searching the internet Fish Brothers Swindon were my nearest dealer but the most expensive and Gatwick Honda did an excellent price for me around £2500 saving. The car runs great takes 4 people with 4 sets of golf clubs and luggage for a week golf 1300 mile round trip annually. My old Avensis Estate done the same for 10 years but like for like replacement was too expensive.
The 1st issue with the Honda was the seating position required to enable the speedo to be seen without the steering wheel blocking it.The seat when set for driving makes getting in and out awkward and has caused wear on the bolster fabric. 2nd issue the black fabric seat covers attract dust and don't want to give it up to Henry the vacuum. Cleaning the plastic between windscreen and steering column requires a selfie stick with a cloth attached and the interior of the windshield is even more difficult.
3rd issue and could be regarded as a hazard if a baby/child be strapped in the car it is possible to unlock the boot whilst the doors remain locked thenwhen the tailgate is closed all the locks lock automatically with the keys mistakenly left inside the boot. AA damaged the door seal and bent the door trying to get in before saying a locksmith was required at a cost of £80 for an access key to be cut. For what possible reason should anyone want to unlock the boot without unlocking the doors?
