Excellent car now 7 years old - just waiting for everything to go bang!

Had this car built with the blue interior - yes, blue interior - much nicer than the blacks and greys. Dealer said he had never seen one before. With Tonic blue outside it makes a very good colour-scheme.

I have read all the other reviews and noticed the various woes, especially suffered by the diesel cars, but I have not suffered any of them.

I have a Ford Mk1 Cortina 1500cc petrol 1964 classic car with 105,000 genuine miles on it. This Focus has 70,000 miles on it already but I have had no problems with it except for two:
I once backed the near-side off a green path into a deeply ploughed field, just tipping over the edge into a 10" drop. Pulled out by a friend's van and thought I had got away with it, but the next MOT revealed I had wrenched the nearside rear Trailing Arm rubber bush clean out - so obviously my fault.
The car stands outside all the time (the Cortina is in the garage, of course), and when it rains and then is icy the boot handle rubber fills up with water and freezes up so that I cannot get into the boot. You will be able to recognise me from the various people going to work in my street because I'm the one accessing the boot head-first from the fold-down rear passenger seat with my feet in mid-air sticking out of the side of the car. The dealer replaced the fitting once under the 3 year warranty, but it has gone again.

I know the knack is to sell a car just before it starts going wrong, and after 7 years and 70,000 miles and not having had it serviced since 2010, and with the MOT due next week, is this that moment?
