Overall reliability

The best car I have owned in 30 years

I managed to find dealer who was prepared to beat an internet price (which demonstrates how over inflated the list prices are and how much the dealers can make in spite of this). I added the interior pack 2. I also added the 7 spoke alloys as the standard alloys are much harder to clean (I have since replaced one of the alloys which was damaged by a pothole at a cost of £161). Finally, I chose Panther Black as I love black cars even though they pick up dirt very quickly.

Overall, I have enjoyed every minute behind the wheel of this gorgeous little car. It is responsive and handles really well. It looks the part too. I've used bluetooth, voice commands and the Aux In extensively. On balance though, I think Ford charge way too much for the pleasure of the bells and whistles.

On the bad side, the alloys, coupled with the lower profile tyrres are not robust enough to deal with potholes at 40 mph. My only real niggle with the car has hopefully been fixed by the dealer today with a software upgrade. Bizarrely, the stereo would switch itself off if the cabin became too hot. Normally, this was on a really cold day when my southern body preferred to be warmed by the climate control set at 25 degrees C. ALso, it would cut out if the volume was at 13 or over for about 10 minutes. I love my music loud so it is really annoying when it cuts out. On top of that, it would come on when it was ready, no matter how many buttons I pressed and even if I had left the car parked on the drive.

Overall, this is defintely the best car I have owned and it is due to its solid build, gorgeous looks, good economy and gadgets. I've done 13,000 miles in 6 months but the trim and plastics look as good as new. Today's service only cost £108 which I think was really cheap.

If Ford want to improve this car they should add a sixth gear, increase the size of the fuel tank and price it realistically.
