BMW 6 Series (2011 - 2018)
640d 3.0 M Sport Auto 2dr Coupe
Some flaws but great engine
Just part-ex'd my 640d for a 440i after 4 years' ownership. Liked the car a lot though never really loved it in all honesty. Cons: For its size (too big and heavy really), rear room very poor. Ride poor over rough roads and wheels / tyres smash into potholes and are easily damaged. Tyres (run-flats) around £300 each to replace (20 inch wheels on mine). Servicing expensive though this not unusual for BMW but service intervals are long - can't really complain overall. Apart from leaking EGR cooler, no real reliability issues to report. Pros: Epic engine - masses of torque at all speeds and excellent economy for the performance. Interior has prestige feel and it's a good looking car all round. Definitely more of a GT than a sports car - handling blunted by weight and ride. VED only £155 per annum.
