Shame about the rattles !

Bought this car new from an Audi dealer. No complaints about the reliability so far (aside from a couple of odd electrical malfunctions which cured themselves) but the car has many, many rattles from the interior. It has done 2K to date but sounds like many cars that have done 40-50K. This is unfortunate as one of the main reasons for buying an Audi was the perceived quality.

Aside from this, the car drives nicely, has a good turn of pace and is surprisingly economical. The ride however is awful on anything other than a motorway or an A road (if you are old enough, think MGB or even Triumph Spitfire) and, to me, renders the car pretty much useless on typical UK backroads where it should be in its element.

It is not a bad car, just not what I expected and if I was buying again, I would probably go fo an MX5 which I believe is more appropriate for UK conditions and has certainly no worse build quality.
