Audi Q3 (2011 - 2018)
2.0 TDI quattro S line 184 S tronic 5dr Auto
One of the best all rounders
I bought this to replace my 2012 Jetta which was running well but I wanted an automatic.
I was tempted to buy a new Merc GLA or a BMW M220 but they did not float my boat. This immaculate 35000km car popped up and I snapped it up. All it needed was a set of new tyres. I added a Stage 1 tune.
On Indian roads, the car was unstoppable. I could attack bad road and maintain its composure on loose surfaces. It was really comfortable. I serviced the car regularly at a very good independent. Maintenance costs were routine. I had replaced the timing belt and overhauled the brakes in the course of my ownership. For 20000km, it was reliable, only issues were ABS sensors failing which was a 10 min 30 pound job.
I had no reason to sell it. A whole load of coincidences happened, I realised I could get 80% of what I had paid. A friend of mine was looking for one and I wanted something a little more sporty and an immaculate BMW G20 330i came along.
The BMW is limited on certain road but it's fun, I still miss the Audi, I would have kept it but my Honda SUV is more suited for daily runs.
