Elegant, Smooth Motorway Cruiser with a Classy Interior

A car that makes those challenging motorway miles disappear better than any other I’ve owned, including recent A4 Avants and a high end C-Class.
The S-tronic transmission is as smooth as a Merc, which is saying something, and the ride and cabin are better despite the sports suspension.
Consumption is typical VAG - knock 10mpg off the advertised figures as expected, but still averaging 50mpg on mixed mileage.
Looks great in blue with 19” alloys - the two door always looks better than the 4, as if that’s where the designers started from.
Not a super-exciting cornering machine, but great for business miles, and easy around town.
Caught out a bit on the tax the dealer gave good discounts but it had tipped over £40k list, My bad due to lack of research.
Signed up to a 2 year VAG service deal, which seems fair.
