Absolutely fantastic vehicle in all resects. 0-60 is a respectable 6.4 seconds and torquey, still pulls faster off roundabouts than almost any other car on the road. It is practical and safe but more than anything it is so economical! I am comparing to my other car which is a 4L Jeep XJ but even that isn't as bad as many would think.
We got ours 7 years ago and at the time I didn't even know about the oil burning issue. We were incredibly lucky as the seller went on to inform me that Audi had rebuilt the block with new pistons and con rods as part of a known issue. A bit frightened I went online to read about the issue before buying it and luckily this is exactly what you need if buying one. Make sure it has has this work done and it will basically be a 2012> car but rebuilt to almost like new probably around 2015. Just download the service schedule which is quite easy to perform yourself and never look back.
DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT buy one (2008-2012) that has not had this TSB completed. Otherwise, go for it, you won't regret it!
