Should I get extended warranty for a 4 year old car?

I am thinking of buying a four year old Mazda 2. Is it worth buying an extended warranty at all for peace of mind?

The more reliable the car, the cheaper an extended warranty will be. If quotes from both Warranty Direct and Warranty Wise are very high, then that tells you the make and model of car is prone to problems.
